I felt like I was getting my period when I went into labor. Very crampy and a major backache for several days before I knew I was in labor. Blood spoting it not much to worry about but you can always call your nurse to confirm that it is nothing. Good luck it be soon.

if you are having some spotting you should call your doctor they will probably have you go to the hospital. The spotting with the dilation could be a sign you have lost your mucus plug and labor could be starting. Always call your doctor if you are unsure and this time you should do it now.

not for sure - i've been 3 cm, 60% effaced and baby dropped over a month ago - lost mucus plug then. lost mucus plug a week ago again....and today had bloody show. still no labor (oh yeah, i have contractions every day too!)

That dilation element ability crap. I walked around for 3 weeks dilated to 2 cm and not something got here approximately. i be attentive to at this component you're waiting to get that toddler out, however the biggest element is are you having contractions? while you're, you will no longer make it.

i had spotting but i wasn't aware that you "spot", i thought spething was wrong, it was my mucus plug. i went to labor and delievery and found out i was 1 cm. so it sounds like your going through the same thing. i went back home and went back when contractions were 5 mins apart. which was about 13 hours later.

Yes, but don't hold your breath. If it is your first baby you could be like that for 2 weeks or 2 hours...Won't you be happy to finally get that kid out! and breathe, eat and be almost normal again...and then you have to deal with a whole other set of problems. i.e. sore boobs & cramping; crying baby; dirty diapers;and tons of laundry...

Yes!!
I started spotting at 2cm and 70%. I went to the hospital...and an hr later I was 5cm and 90%!!

could be, but do not get your hopes up, i was 2 cm for a month before i went into labor. relax, get plenty of rest!

Yep! With me, it happened within a couple of days, but I know someone who walked around like that from weeks 40-42 and was finally induced!

It is a sign and probably not too far off either. Congrats!! double check your bag and put the car seat in the car!!!
