Is this just a gimmick to win business or do most building codes actually require its installation? Everything I find online talks how quickly it degrades and recommends other materials. Is this just a gimmick, or did my first roofer omit the quote?

Cookie-Cutter Tracks? Why?

Should Nascar keep putting up these 1 1/2 mile tracks? I think they would be better off building another track like Richmond or a Bristol. Need to get back to their roots. These cookie-cutter are not really racing,more like follow the leader. What do you think?

Costco will not pay for damage done to car in their parking lot by their runaway shopping carts!?

My Jeep was slightly damaged by some runaway shopping carts at Costco. I submitted a report to the store manager and I was told I would be contacted by their corporate office. They never called. After a several weeks I was contacted by them and I was told that they are not responsible for this type of damage.

I have some books to sell, but do not trust EBay. Where can I sell them?

I would try Yahoo auctions, but, those are closing down. EBay has gotten too large--not good for a tiny seller like me. Any ideas? (selling non-fiction hardbacks, some a century old)

What ever happened to the good ole days when you bought a toaster for a wedding gift?

I went to check out the couples bridal registry at a local store and they did not have things like sheets, coffee pots and the colors of their rooms. They had expensive gifts such as digital camera's and all kinds of electronics. Computer games and espensive carpentry tools.
I felt almost ridiculous looking at gift registry for them . Is this normal way to register or is this couple trying to make a haul? They already have a child and have been together for many years. I didnt expect to see all that high end stuff on the registry. I was expecting something more simple.
Am I old fashioned or are they getting a little greedy?

so..would you use
f=m(v2-v1)/t

.149kg(45.6-40.2)/1.1x10^3s
=7.31x10-4N?

this doesnt seem right..is that too small of a force from the bat? im confused about if i did this correct...and what would be my direction? away from the bat? in the negative direction?

Should I call my mom & talk to her?

Last week, she told me something disturbingly offensive & disrespectful over the phone, & instead of arguing back with her, I hung up in her face. I'm afraid to call her & apologize, even though I guess we should both be sorry. But I do want to be the bigger person & apologize. I'm afraid she might still be holding a grudge.

This is for fundamentalist christians who cant seem to but-out.?

As it was recently explained to me by a very persuasive christian man that the extreme desire that is so apparent to save homosexuals of their horrid sin is because it is in their best interest and in the end they are just looking out for those who are same sex oriented.

I guess my question is, (as a heterosexual 15 year old girl) at what point will you just realize that people are born a certain way, and let them live their own lives. FOR REAL imagine someone trying to therapeutically convert you of your sexuality.
My point is, sometimes its more helpful for you to not care so much.

Ever since I was a child, I was taught to blow my nose when it was runny, into a kleenex....?

....furthermore, I was taught not to open the kleenex and gaze upon the substances that I expelled from my nostrils.
When people do this, does it make you want to force feed them the kleenex while singing "I LOVE A PARADE!"?

For Christians only - a q. about Jesus?

I have a q?
Did Jesus go around saying to ppl. - "You're going to hell" or did he try and save them and accept them as they are? Or is it just me and thinking this way? And my Christian upbringing?
Can a man corrupt-misinterpert the God's word?

Isn't Christianity about love and healing and praying and not hurting? And turning the other cheek?

So, why do (some) Christians try to mentally undermine anyone else's choice of ANY belief? Or even atheists? But I guess it got allot better than many ages ago when the Church has actually tormented ppl. and burned them? hmmmm.

Anyone care to answer?
