when the airbag pops out of the steering wheel, does the cover fold down, up, or just pop off? thanks

Most times the wheel cover is designed to tear apart along a H pattern then in a wink of an eye the bag deflates. Not bad for 1/4 stick of special dynamite. And very lould. But you won't hardly notice over the sound of bending metal and impact. Just imagine a car with up to 10 air bags. Just two bag car can cost 1,000's to replace just the bags.

it pops out and then u pop it after the crash and i is like a big ballon. i deflates and its like just a bag over the steering wheel.

It splits open in the middle and the bag pops right thru.

it can only be used once and its over there are places that rebuild them for aftermarket. But i would hate to find out it did'nt work when i needed it

It is prescored, and it bursts open when the bag is deployed. It is ruined after that!

when it opens it rips the cover open.
