can i play .avi files in media player? do i have to download a plug-in?

google avi codec, you have to install it on your computer, once you do that all the players you have will be able to play an avi file.

Windows media player and Realplayer will both play AVI's.

I tried to find a plug-in for WMP, but I eventually gave up and downloaded DivX. I was very angry.

you have to download whats called a codec, search avi codec on yahoo, or google, and it will come probably with instructions to install

they are able to. i do no longer use homestead windows Media participant for avi archives however. a stable option to homestead windows Media participant this is amazingly a flexible participant is VLC participant. yet homestead windows Media participant works large! have relaxing looking at your movie.
