A soccer player kicks the ball toward a goal that is 28.6 m in front of him. The ball leaves his foot at a speed of 19.3 m/s and an angle of 31.0° above the ground. Find the speed of the ball when the goalie catches it in front of the net. (Note: The answer is not 19.3 m/s.)

Heres what I've done:

1st-found Vx
Vocos(31)
(19.3m/s)*(cos31)=16.543m/s

2nd-found Vy
x=Vo*xt
t=(vox)/(x)
28.6/16.543=1.729s

3rd-Voy
Vosin(31)
(19.3m/s)(sin31)=9.940m/s
NOT SURE! if the time is right>>>>>Vy=Voy+at
9.940+(9.80m/s^2)(1.729)=26.8842

Last step! square root(916.5430^2)+(26.8842^2)
=31.56m/s<<
I DONT KNOW WHAT I HAVE DONE WRONG! I THINK THAT THE ANSWER FOR Voy NEEDS TO BE SMALLER .

I am attempting to come out of the dark ages with my home theater system. I recently purchased a 37" Vizio LCD televison. I bought a switcher to plug my PS2, old dvd player, speakers, and HD DVR cable box into. The switcher has inputs and outputs for both component and composite cables. The cable box with the component cables is working fine. The PS2 and the dvd player are connected using composite cables. The sound works, but I have no video. The sound goes from the output of the switcher directly into the speaker system. The video is going from the output of the switcher into the t.v. I am using a composite cable with the yellow, red, and white connections to go between the switcher and the t.v. Can anyone help?

I am using a display board for my project...and right now I am doing what every1 else is doing...which is to read off a piece of paper and explain the pictures on ur display board...i kinda think that's boring so I decided 2 have another poster explaining some of my Roman aqueducts and the process...but then I don't want 2 do that now(cuz of other purposes)...so what should I do or at least what should I do to decorate my project to make it look better or more interesting?

My Ex has been talking about how she wants to get back with me in the future. It's long distance but now I can see her a lot more. I read her email and found out that she has personal ads online and I also pretended to be someone else online and she told them (me) that she just broke up with someone. So she has been going back and forth with someone else and trying to meet someone online.

How do I tell her I know this? I can't say I read her email. I thought of putting an ad online and leaving a message for her. She gets the updated every few for who her matches would be. But her ads a not specific enough that i can point to them and say it's her. I just know they are from her emails.

I don't want to get back together with her now. I just want her to know the reason.

I was atheist but then I converted to the LDS religion. I used to make some of the comments I've seen on here to my friends about religion but now that I look at them they make it look like the person is ignorant.

ok, one time, she invited me over to her house but i couldn't go. therefore, she asked this other girl who can't stand me. now my "friend" keeps avoiding me, she wont talk to me unless we are alone and not in front of anybody. the worst part is that she wont even tell me what i did or anything. i tried to talk to her and let her know that she hurt my feelings but she just laughed. now whenever im with my other friends, she tries to get them to drop me and come with her. one day i asked her if just for one second if she thought the world revolved around something other than her and she said no. she also talks bad about me and my friends. i dont want her as a bff again but i want a way to put her place and let her suffer in pain for a while. but not in a way she did to me all the time. After listening to a lot of your coments I am more aware of the fact that Satan planted his seed while God was sleeping and that God is letting the Good seed and the weeds grow together until the end of the Age. And I am fully understanding of the fact that when he gathers you all in bundles to be burned in the unquenchable fire you will all beg for mercey if the pain isn't so bad that you can't speak. I live in Missouri and the mobile home's VIN plate has been completely removed by a prior owner. I have the VIN number but there's no plate. I would like to apply for a lost title but the Highway Patrol needs the plate to read the VIN number to accomplish this task. Thank you very much. I don't know where to go to order a new VIN plate.

I've had 3 extremely faint First response Early result pregnancy tests. The test lines are so light its hard to see them. Todays was a little bit easier to see. I'm 11DPO. I'm still clueless as to whether I'm actually PG or not. I have a ClearBlue Digital, is it too soon to take it? Will it show positive since the FRER tests have?
