Here is an opportunity to share just one book, the book you consider most useful to a back yard astronomer. My choice is "Burnham's Celestial Handbook an Observer's Guide To the Universe Beyond the Solar System in Three Volumes" by Robert Jr. Burnham

Despite its age (1979) these books provide us amateurs with a wealth of accurate information about stellar and deep-sky objects constellation by constellation. I particularly like the detailed stellar images which allow me using my dobsonian to star hop to deep-sky objects. I have found very few books to rival my beloved Burnham's.

People say its actions of a few, it seems to be more like actions of a few million. Look at all terrorists groups around the middle east and other parts of the world, there whole goal is to take over the world. To begin with, I am diagnosed with GAD as well as Panic Disorder. I've gotten the Panic almost completely under control but I still experience anxiety on a consistant daily basis..Anyways, I'm now starting to notice that when I become anxious my hands will tingle...I don't know what really causes this but I am interested to know if this is common or if it happens to anyone else?? The tingly-ness is not really accompanied by any other noticeable symptoms except agitation because I'm anxious at the moment. It goes away once I start calming down, usually within 10-15 min.

my Fience has these friends who are getting married today. thye're complete jerks. they talk shite about me behind my back, AND to my Fience.

they are constantly putting me down, and acting like they are so much better than me.

they are spending money they don't have on their wedding, and than making fun of me when I get inexpensive stuff.

they make fun of me cuz my engagemtn ring is an alexandrite, and not a diamond (which, I specifically told my fience, I dont want a diamond)

so why do I have to go to this wedding?? I hate these people, they're jerks, but if I dont go they'll give me all this crap.....

how can I tell them, that Im not obligated to go to their wedding when they treat me like this??

I moved into a rented property two months ago, and I have just received a letter from the managing agent saying that they will be inspecting my property on 13 June. If I'm not in to let them in, they will let themselves in using the key that they keep in the office.

First, do they have the right to do this? I feel extremely uncomfortable about them coming in and nosing around when I'm not here. Not that I've got anything to hide, and I'm quite happy for them to carry out an inspection - just do it when I'm here!!!

And second, what are the legal questions surrounding the fact that they keep a key, to the property that I pay rent for, in their office where any staff member can access it? Surely that's a breach of my civil rights?

Please help!!!!

i have always considered self-harming a sign of weakness and a need for attention, and my family knew how i felt and hated the subject... but the other day i saw my little brother's stomach and wrists and realised that he has been doing it lately. i am unsure how to act now as he knows all my opinions on the subject.
My brother and i are very close, and he normally seems a happy, well-balanced guy, so i don't understand why he is doing it, either. It also hurt that he hid it from me and lied.

any suggestions on how i should react as a caring sibling? i have a feeling shrieking "you f*cking moron, what are you doing?" wouldn't help, and it would sound insincere if i was suddenly miss i-understand- what-you're-going- through.

And why is he doing it? Attention? I know its bad that i feel dissapointed in him, but i do; he has a wonderful life. Any advice on how to deal with him would be wonderful - i know im not the most tolerant or understanding of people.
