When I speak to friends or family who have known me for over 30 years they tell me what a great dad I am, how I am a good husband to my wife etc. Friends who have known me since elementary school will tell me they don't know how they got through life without some of my advice.

BUT, in the past year or so I have been a little more verbal about the fact that I have never believed in a God or Jesus etc. Now they all gang up and tell me I am going to hell and they cannot believe they know me.

First off, please understand I do not believe in God, so that also means I do not believe in Hell or Satan or whoever you want to group me with to spend my eternal days of damnation.

Christians generally believe that no faith imparts the virtues of love and forgiveness more effectively than their own...so why are they the most hostile?

It has to be done in a Nationally organized fashion by armed militia's! I have NOT seen or heard of such a campaign but there should be. The legal citizen Majority should have ultimate Rule & control or final say over Government & business hence they serve us properly or cease to exist! Which calls for ending Representative government! Now for those who think we must have government Fine but strickly as well managed "at will" employee's NOT anything like what exist NOW!

My glass window has a screen door on the right side. When I look on the side of the window with the screen door, the lines of the fence looks wavy and the wired fence looks wavy/crooked. But when I look at the left side of my window without the screen door, everything looks straight and normal. I read that if you see things wavy/crooked, that is a sign of macular degeneration (a condition where your eye deteriorates). But I took the Asler grid test and I see the graph fine with no wavy lines. However when I looked at my window with the screen door, things looks wavy and not straight. Should I go to the doctor?

Tomorrow (June 1) is the anniversary of Helen Keller's death, which got me thinking about disabities and the Internet. There are already a number of assistive technology devices to help blind and deaf people use computers and access the Internet, but what do you think the future holds?

With the increase in our loss of civil liberties and the government constently expanding, when will the breaking point be reached, when the people of this land stand up and say I'm tired of decisions being made without my knowledge. Congressmen and women abuse their power with no regrets and no loyalty to the people that put them there. They lie, cheat, steal and do it with a smile on their face.

I do understand that there is and always will be discrimination, BUT not everything is.

If someone is not doing their job right and gets fired. Thats why. If someone acts like a mororn and gets banned from being somewhere, thats why. It is not always because of race, gender, age, etc. etc, but people seem to crying discrimination everytime something does not go their way.

Out of curiosity really, a lot of Christians will tend to agree with one another and say that there are no contradictions within the bible, yes? How about the contradictions made when interpreting the bible, for example, some Christians will take the account of Genesis quite literally, yet, religious scholars/theologians insist that Genesis etc...contains symbolic truths as opposed to literal or scientific truths...why is this? Who should non-Christians turn to for genuine questions about the bible when there's so many contradicting responses?

An example of this would be, those that accept the radiometric dating of the Earth to be roughly 4.5 billion years and those who believe that the Earth is roughly 10,000 years old. Why is there no universal teaching system in place to avoid such confusions?

I'm considering purchasing a toy dog, and I want to do as much homework as possible to find which type would best suit my household. I am often over at my mother and 17 year old sister's home who have a cat and chocolate lab who are both very sociable, so it would be best to get one that got along with other animals. I also am looking for a mild and very loving temperament. Any advice?
