My fiancee and I have been making plans to get our own place and finish up college together, as well as getting married in the next year or so. So after we come home from his brother's wedding (who is in the military), he's telling me he wants to enlist in the military. And this is making me INCREDIBLY upset. Not only do I not want anything to happen to him, I don't want that kind of life for my family. He's making me feel really guilty for feeling this way about it. Am I being selfish? Anything I can do?

...the closest I can think of is masochist but I don't quite think it fits the bill. I'm looking for a word to describe someone who will put themselves in a potentially hostile situation with scant regard for their own wellbeing, and not neccessarily for a good cause- some one who will get in to a fight with a dozen other people and simply not care, or not even register, they don't stand a chance.
What's the word? something-ist, maybe?
And please don't just say psycho or maniac. Thanks!

The reformation in islam is already underway . Most young educated muslims are questioning islam . i can say that 50 years from now islam will be just like any other religion . it will be secular and will never be a threat to anyone.
educated muslims are now asking this from the imams?

My x850xt card runs fine but the x1950pro wont work at all since yesterday when the pc just shut down.

Why do people like the dirty questions so much?
Half the time they get reported anyways?
And to ask one you have to word in such a way half the people cant fig it out, dont know why but they cant... so why do we incourage this?

I have a person who works at a large company. This company recently told her that she will not get paid for her work last week, because the work was, "easy." We all know that is ridiculous, but I need to find the Florida or Federal Statute that specifically says an employer is required to pay for hours worked.

To which scripture did Paul refer, considering he was writing letters to groups of people and the gospels had not yet been written? These were not deemed scripture until the 4th century by the church.

I'm always surprised by how many pagans think that Lucifer is Satan. It's like they've never picked up a mythology book.
They think that just because the Bible (which should mean nothing to them) says that Lucifer is Satan, they *must*, as pagans, therefore believe it. This always makes me laugh a little.
Even some modern "Wiccans" (usually the young ones) don't realise that Lucifer is a god in their religion. They don't realise that a number of the sources Wicca drew upon (i.e. Gospel of the Witches, Leland) had Lucifer as a god of witches.
Why don't people realise that Lucifer was a Roman deity of light and Venus, before Christianity got its hands on him?

I've never wanted or needed to apply for a credit card in my life. however my fiance and I are planning to buy a flat in the next 6-12 months and realise that I'm going to need to improove my credit (apparently never owing money is a bad thing).
My question is what's the best and safest way to build up credit, are credit cards used as a supplement to debit cards and if you are in credit on your credit card do you earn interest? I know I sound a bit thick but honestly don't have a clue about these things!!
