Are you sure that's what you want? A girlfriend that eats meat? Think about it for a minute...Would everything change between you two if she was like you? Easy answer: No. If you try and change her she will either listen to what you have to say (highly unlikely) or she will dump you for being picky and obsessive. What's wrong with vegetarians/vegans anyway? Can't you continue your relationship in the knowledge that you haven't forced her into anything against her beliefs and enjoy your meat while she enjoys her veggies? Is it so bad that she disagrees with you on something? Why don't you try to respect her beliefs? Who knows, she might change her mind later in the future anyway. If you really like her you shouldn't press her into changing herself. You can't, only she can.

As the majority of people here have said, *It's her choice not yours!* For whatever reason she's chosen not to eat meat, preference or dietary requirement, be open minded if you want your relationship to work.
Try one of her vegetarian dishes! No it won't taste like your juicy rare steak. I assure, however, you your relationship will "taste better" for both of you. Isn't that what you really want or do just want a friend to go to the steak house with you.

For what it's worth, I was a vegetarian for over 10-15 years. I quit eating meat for dietary reasons. I now eat chicken and selected fish but still don't eat "red meat". Both of my kids are vegetarians by their own choice. Don't let my experience lead you to expect her to change. *She may never change and you have to be ok with that if you want your relation to work.*

From the link below...
"A vegetarian diet provides a variety of proven health benefits. Vegetarians have significantly reduced rates of obesity, coronary heart disease, hypertension, type II diabetes, diet-related cancers, diverticular disease, constipation and gall stones."

You can't....just like she can not change you to be a vegetarian. You need to be supportive of each other no matter what. That is what makes you each an individual. As in any relationship, you are not always going to agree on things.

Er, you must be called Nob for a reason! You CAN'T change her - why should you want to? I am not vegetarian, I eat meat but wouldn't dream of trying to make someone eat it if they didn't want to - unless I was a real control freak!! She won't thank you for it, sorry if this isn't the answer you wanted!

Let her be vegetarian. shes making a lifestyle for herself. Im not sure why youd want to make anyone want to eat meat if they dont want to. That would be like asking you to stop eating meat. Its a two way street.

Why would you want to, let her be a vegetarian, you can't make her eat meat.

Even though she doesn't know what she's missing.

My guess is you're looking to get flamed for this?

If this is a legitimate question I would suggest you rethink your priorities. The fact that your GF is a vegetarian should have no bearing on your relationship. I mean how would you feel if she always tried to get you to give up eating meat?

You can't make anyone do what you want. How about you understand why she is a vegetarian.

Why would you try? Respect her choices and support her. Could she convince you to be a vegetarian? No, I didnt think so, so just leave her alone. You are not her father, for pitys sake

You are supposed to love your girlfriend for everything that she is which includes her eating habits. If you wish to change her you don't love and respect her and obviously want someone else that you can control. You are free to eat whatever kind of foods you like, why should your girlfriend be treated any differently?
