with the same data and reach different conclusions because they have different presuppositions.

the idea being that secular scientists begin with the presupposition of naturalism and creation scientists begin with the presupposition of theism.

do you think this is true?

Personally, I feel this is a distortion of the truth.

i got the dictionary definition, "The four-dimensional continuum of one temporal and three spatial coordinates in which any event or physical object is located.", which i understand, but i was thinking about somethin i saw on Nova, i think, that explained gravitational pull through this analogy; imagine that the sun is a bowling ball on a trampoline, and the earth is a golf ball, the sun creates a depression in space-time that draws the earth toward it.

My guy just called a little bit ago and told me he borrowed $10 from his Grandma to visit a friend in the hospital that I don't like or trust. (Get a balloon and parking) I guess the driver got killed and she was hurt. What he wants me to do is give him $10 to pay back his grandma. Should I help him out even though I can't STAND this girl he is going to visit or tell him as nice as I can that he is on his own in this situation. He is in between jobs right now.

I don't really feel it is my job to pay his grandma back cause he wants to visit his friend. The main problem is telling him I don't want to pay her back that he needs to do it. What do you suggest? He knows I don't like her. He can be friends with her & all but I am not going to be his way of seeing her. Get what I mean?

I am 21 years old and my girlfriend is 14 years old. We met at college. She is an officially a college student, not high school. We've been dating each other for 6 months already. I am really much in love with her. She's in love with me too. She's going to be financially independent by 19-20. While with me, I have to wait until I am 24-25 to be financially independant. Do you think a 7 year gap is bad?

Ignore the victimhood rhetoric, work hard, get educated, succeed, the reward? Not congratulations, instead a middle finger. I don't get it.

I am trying to sell my laptop, but I have heard that even if you delete things, people can still get information that is hidden and use it. I wanted to know what do I have to do, is there a way to clean everything out and have it the same way I bought it-just blank with the welcome screen??? I would really appreciate your responses. Thank You so much.

I'm kind of confused about this because everyone has their own interpretation of religion and people twist it to how it makes them feel comfortable. But all the texts insist that you must believe in a higher power. I hate people telling me what to do. The only thing I believe in is the golden rule.

Every time we skeptics point out that certain parts of the world have actually gotten colder or that there are extended cold periods or new record cold temperatures in certain locations, your uniform response is "it's a global average temperature increase, that produces fluctuations rather than uniformly warmer temperatures everywhere at every time."

But whenever we bring up the Medieval Warm Period, you make the opposite argument - that the sum of the parts does not make the whole. We point out that the broader trend when you take into consideration the whole earth was warmer temperatures. But because there was one area in the Pacific where it cooled and because there were a few cool years, it wasn't uniformly warm, therefore the MWP wasn't a true period of global warming.

How do you reconcile these two contradictory arguments?

I know it's a simple gesture but it's so amazingly beautiful! I turned up for work today feeling rather gloomy and there was this huge bouquet of the most lovely red and pink roses ever on my table! There was also this lovely note attached to it! Haha, it was from Matt, my colleague, and he says it was just for the fun of it without any special reason or occassion! I couldn't believe it, some people are just so darn nice!! Matt, if you are reading this, you are wonderful and thanks for making my day today!!!

I've been admitted to San Diego State University and I'm applying for on-campus accommodation.

I have already filled out all of the forms, paid the $800 initial fee, and according to the guidelines, all I have to do is print them all out and send them to the university. However, I'm not sure if I'm still required to pay for the $250 Intent to Enroll fee.

Please help me look at the website (or tell me from your experience) whether or not I still need to pay the $250 Intent to Enroll to qualify for on-campus housing. Thanks.
