I think that 14 years old is a bit young. There might be some legal issues since you are 21. Seven years is not that much of a age difference but the youth of her is a problem. How do her parents feel about her dating a older man? You might want to go really slow and wait till she is a bit older.
Be Safe.

She is a child. You will not be financially independant at 24-25 because you will more than likely be registering as a sex offender (if you are out of jail by that time) making it difficult to find work or a place to live.

I think she's a little young. (No, I'm not gonna call you a perv) What I mean is that gifted people like that often are sheltered people. Alone because their intellect isolates them from their own age or forcing them to socialize with people older than them.
My only concern is that some might feel left out of the (party phase) of life and meeting and knowing other guys. Then again, hyper smart people often have little interest in that.
If BOTH sets of parents know and are cool with it. AND you don't have an issue with her making more money or making it faster than you, then yeah. It can work.

At that age yes. My husband is 8 years older than me but we're older. When shes so young the gap seems so much bigger. If she were 50 and you 57, no one would care. But shes still a child and no matter if shes in college her brain isnt finished developing so that means she cant grow any faster than you want her to.
Do you really want to be tied to someone who will more than likely be someone completely different in 5 years?

Doesnt matter here. Shes still underage in the eyes of the law and thats all that matters and what the lawsees now is not a pretty sight for you if someone complains. Check up on the laws of stautory rape and contributing to the delinquency of a minor before something happens. In the eyes of the law, this relationship shouldnt be happening, no matter how you see it

LOL....yeah, when I was 14 I had it all planned out too...I was going to be making well over $100K/year by the time I was 20, etc., now here I am 42 years old and barely making ends meet. Imagine that.
And the simple truth remains, you're a pedophile!

You got to be joking... not only illegal but who in the right mind would allow themselves to get so attached to a 14 year old...what where you doing at that age, I'm sure you weren't thinking marriage and babies, girls do but they aren't ready til much later, she needs to grow inside ( mentally )as well as outside and this is a relationship that will end .. you got to be joking...7 years isn't to bad if both aren't younger then 20...you got to be joking...

I understand she is advanced for her age but you have to see a 14yr old in her somewhere. I dont think it would, other than college what else do you have in common. She is still a child and you are an adult.

Hmmm how about waiting until it is legal to date her. That is kind of sick, she doesn't even fully a woman yet, physically or mentally, even if she is quite gifted.
Find someone your own age!
