I'm kind of confused about this because everyone has their own interpretation of religion and people twist it to how it makes them feel comfortable. But all the texts insist that you must believe in a higher power. I hate people telling me what to do. The only thing I believe in is the golden rule.

A person can be an atheist Jew, but not an atheist Christian. This is because Christianity is solely a religion, but the term "Jew" implies a cultural heritage in addition to religion.

The definition of the word Atheist is a person who denies or disbelieves the existence of a supreme being or beings. According to the definition of Atheist, it is impossible to be an Atheist and be a Christian or Jew since Christians and Jews believe in a God or supreme being, and an Atheist does not. However I would say it is possible to follow the teachings of any religion and not necessarily agree with many of their views. Keep searching and you will find what you believe in your heart and mind to be true.

The golden rule came from the Bible standard taught by Jesus. Nobody is telling you that you "have to" believe in a higher power, and only Christianity teaches you that you can have a very personal relationship with the Creator and Ruler of the universe through His Son Jesus Christ.

Atheists reject the concept of intelligence when it comes to the formation of the universe so they can in no way be called Christian, although some of them claim to be former Christians. Only God knows how truthful that is.

The catch 22 in all this is that if Christianity is correct and you don't exercise faith in God and repent of your sin and receive Christ as your Saviour you will spend eternity in a Lake of Fire. That will not make anyone comfortable.

atheist = the position that either affirms the nonexistence of gods or rejects theism. In its broadest definition, atheism is the absence of belief in deities.

Judaism = a monotheistic religion developed.

Christian = a person who adheres to Christianity, a monotheistic religion centered on the life and teachings of Jesus of Nazareth as presented in the New Testament.

Short answer, not really. You could be a Jew as in a member of the Jewish people and be an atheist.....but otherwise you gotta pick one side of the fence or the other....

A atheist doesn't believe in any god or gods. This means that you can not be a christian and an atheist. On the other hand, Jews are both a race and a religion, therefore you may be an atheist Jew.

One cannot be an Atheist and call themselves a Christian. A Xtain believes in a god and an Atheist does not believe in a god. An Atheist does not believe that a god exists. A person can be Jewish/ a Jew by birth and not practice Judaism.

Why would anyone want to be a jew, christian or a member of any other religion. God does not now and has never required that we be a member of anything!

Judaism has a very strong cultural and nationalistic component that I think one can participate in even if one is an atheist. Christianity has a weaker cultural component and lacks the nationality aspects of Judaism, so I think one cannot be a Christian atheist. however, there are probably many atheists that celebrate Christmas with their families and go trick or treating. They might refer to themselves as cultural christians

You can call yourself whatever you want. What really matters is what you believe in your heart. If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, then you can call yourself a Christian. If you don't believe that in your heart, then you shouldn't be calling yourself a Christian.

Uh I think that you can be an atheist and call yourself a jew because being "jewish"...is a nationality, not necessarily a religion.
