My granddaughter was born today with her left leg turned the wrong way at the knee. It looks like her knee cap is on the backside of her knee and the bottom part of her leg is flipped up by her chest. Evie is absolutly beautiful other wise. The Dr. said she is healthy other than her leg. I can't imagine what this baby will have to go through to be able to walk someday. I am aching from the core of my being for this baby.

My son has what one doctor termed a buried penis and another doctor suggested I take him to an endocrinologist which is a doctor that specializes in hormones and the organs that produce them. I have an appt with a specialist 3 months from now!
It is small in size- like half of your index finger and his testicles are small also. He has some feminine attributes such as tapered fingers and some mannerisms. He is attracted to girls (we are very open minded and non-judgemental so it's not an issue either way- just giveing background) but his self esteem is very low.
He has the additional problem of pooping a small bit in his undies if he is stressed out.

Anybody out there have experience with either of these issues? I am working with a social worker trying to keep his spirits up but wonder if there is anything else I should be doing?

In the current global warming debate, Inquisition like behavior occurs to stifle the scientific process and bury views that do not agree with an "authority sanctioned" view point, with the Church replaced by the IPCC. Remember what happened to Galileo and Bruno? This has happened in the past and people were called heretics and in another age, witches. Today they may be called incorrectly "religious conservatives." The scientist being attacked could very well be an evironmentalist and liberal. It is unfair to label someone as something they are not just because they are trying to do honest research.

Science is based on the scientific method and not on consenses. For any hypothesis, there is going to be an antithesis. We went through the Enlightenment to free ourselves from the Church, we don't need a new Church of IPCC to replace it.

This is a mistake. In Mark 2:26 it mentions a story found in 1 Samuel 22, but there it says the priest's name was Ahimelech. So did Jesus make the mistake, or Mark? Notice that Matthew's Gospel, which used Mark as a source, 'fixes' Mark's mistake by leaving out the high priest's name (Matt. 12:4).

For example, I moved only an hour away from my hometown and it's completely different here, the men and women both expect women to be submissive and stupid, and the men to be dominant and wealthy, it's so weird. But even in my family everyone gives a different answer about "gender roles", the weird thing about that is that these are the people that raised me, and they don't even agree with what they taught me as a child!?! My 2 1/2 year old has recently discovered some not so nice words. I was just wondering when she says them, which do you think is better, to ignore it so as not to give her attention when she says it. Or to tell her that those words are bad and she shouldn't be saying them. It seems with two year olds when you tell them NOT to do something they do it anyways.
