My granddaughter was born today with her left leg turned the wrong way at the knee. It looks like her knee cap is on the backside of her knee and the bottom part of her leg is flipped up by her chest. Evie is absolutly beautiful other wise. The Dr. said she is healthy other than her leg. I can't imagine what this baby will have to go through to be able to walk someday. I am aching from the core of my being for this baby.

My sister and I are twins, and she had the same problem, only it was her ankle. They put her in a brace at night, that went across the top of the crib. She wore a shoe that locked into the brace, and now she's an adult and is fine. Of course, I don't know all of the details about your grand daughter but I just wanted to let you know that there ARE things they can do. It's best to count your blessings and be thankful it isn't something that can't be repaired. I hope everything works out great for all of you. Congrats on your new addition! I'm sure she's gorgeous!

Stay out of it. Let your child and and their spouse deal with this... You just love and support.. But DON'T get in the middle of a huge emotional issue. If they want a support group, they will find one. Good luck...
