ive been reading a lot of articles about asteroid global killers and i still don't believe that a 1 or 2km wide asteroud could cause an extinction. Some scientists says that a 100 km wide craters didnt cause extinction and now they are saying that a 1km wide asteroid enough to create a 10 to 20 km wide asteroid could cause an extinction ..... this scientists are really dumb

I have this skin discoloration, only on certain areas of my body. It appears more noticeably when it gets warmer and more humid outside. It is on my arms, right where the skin meets when you bend your elbows, at my bra line in the front (under and between my breasts), areas on my back where a bra or cami would be, and in the crease of my leg/thigh in front where the panty line is. I went to the dermatologist the first 3 summers this happened, they gave me a 5-day pill and/or cream and it went away very quickly, but never really told me what it was. I believe they said since I have such sensitive skin, fugus in the air gets on my skin and causes this, which makes sense for where this discoloration all is. It's not as disgusting as it sounds, mainly embarassing. I have tried make up and it doesn't work, and it's hard to find clothes to cover it all since it's so hot outside. I have an appt. next month, the soonest they could get me in, but any tips on how to "cover" it up until then?

I live in Wallan, Victoria (Australia) and my family and I have decided to get our first dog. We have seen pet store pups and were interested in a Siberian Husky but they cost $1200 at the pet shop. We were thinking of getting either:
Siberian Husky, Dalmation or a Airedale Terrier.
I'm a school teacher and I work from 8am-3:30pm, my hubby is a plumber who works 7am-4pm and I have 3 kids aged 13, 11 and 8. My kids have been around dogs before and we have all decided to get one. We have a medium sized home and a very big fenced in backyard.

What breed should we get?
I have NO idea where to get our puppy from. I've checked the paper and a few websites but nobody has a puppy available yet.
Where should I get one?
What is the average price for each breed I have listed above?
Beside the breeds I listed, which breed do you think we should get? We don't want a Beagle, Boxer, Cocker Spaniel, German Shepard, Collie, Lab or Golden Retriever!
PS. we have 1 male fixed indoor cat.

My experiment: I got 200 grass-hoppers, placed one at a time on a table, said "Jump" and then let it go. In 95% (+/- 2%), the insects jumped. I then repeated the experiment, but this time, I broke off the large pair of hind legs just before I said "Jump". In 100%, they did not jump.

This experiment was repeated numerous times by myself and other scientists all over the world. The results were essentially the same.

I therefore concluded that grass-hoppers hear through their hind legs. That's my hypothesis. Actually, it's a theory. It's thoroughly testable, scientifically falsifiable, and it makes accurate predictions. Do you agree with my theory?

Why can't we just deprive the enemy of an enemy? If we lower all of our defenses, there will be nothing left to attack.

My friend (a girl, 17), is going to join the army in one year (she wants to be a medic). She wants to know if the stories about sexual tension or abuse are strong, because she is worried about rape, sexual abuse, etc.

I've been mtg with a psychologist to work through some issues, including possibly ADD/ADHD. But for meds, you need to see the psychiatrist, which I recently did. He rec'd seeing ANOTHER psychiatrist who's a specialist/expert in a certain kind of treatment.

I wondered if my original psychologist would be offended that the psychiatrist rec'd someone else and sort of played it out in my head, determining that I would not volunteer the information.

Well, lo and behold, the psychologist did indeed ask me what therapy the psychiatrist rec'd. When I told her, she asked if he also suggested a certain person to see about it. It was almost inevitable that she ask, upon reflection. So I told her the rec'd psychiatrist's name.

Now my original psychologist seems a tad hurt that I was rec'd to go to someone else, and she started asking questions about it admitting that she was "taken aback."

I don't believe in lying. But what should I have done differently? What would you have done?
