In 7th grade i was 5'8 and i too had confidence issues, but this height is perfectly normal.
Some girls grow at different speeds and at different ages, by the time you reach high school all the boys will have surpassed you or will be about the same height.
My advice to you is to be proud of who you are and wear the shoes =]!
I am 5'11 now and i get compliments on my height all the time, there will always be those who bring you down for various reasons..but you just have to have a little confidence. This can be hard to acquire but you have to realize that your height is something you can not change, so you might as well deal with it.
Do you play sports? if so this is a great opportunity for you to show the world who you are. If not what else interests you? Put your heart into something you love and people won't just look at your for being the tall girl.

You shouldn't worry about what other people think, being tall can be an advantage. I myself am tall and I have always been one of the tallest girls in my grade. In fact in 7th grade I was also 5'7''. You might be the tallest now but in a year or too the other girls will probably start to catch up, though you may still be the tallest that's okay. Go out for the basketball team, being tall is a great advantage, I played basketball and volleyball in high school and I was also a cheerleader. Most of my friends are 5 to 5'4'' tall and when I hang with them I really stick out but I don't care and neither do they. They tease me about being tall and I tease them about being short, like the fact that they can't reach the top shelf in the stores but I can or how I can see further than they can.
There are advantages and disadvantages to everything, you just have to make it work for you.

I was 5'10 by 7th grade! I was taller than everyone...even some of my teachers. But something strange happened. When I came back after summer vacation my freshman year, suddenly, all the boys were taller. (Most of them, anyway!) Girls get growth spurts faster than boys, I hear. So you will likely be the tallest for a couple of more years...and suddenly, you won't be. I never grew past 5'10". But I am happy to be so tall! I have been a model, and now that I am past my modeling years, it is still nice to have such long legs and I still look really thin, even when I gain a little weight after the holidays! Haha. So don't worry about it. Everything feels awkward when you are in 7th grade. But just think...all those models are 5'8" and up! Your friends will be envious if they don't grow any taller!!
NOT AN OUTCAST!! You are a GODDESS!! :)

I was always tall when i was younger, too. I'm 16 now, but when I was 13 I was 5'6 and many people commented on how tall I was a lot and always mistaked me for being older. Just be gracious that you are tall, because they wil lall catch up soon. I know the shortest boy in school, is now taller than me and I'm 5'7, almost 5'8. You just developed earlier than everyone else like me, and you are probabl more mature, too. Just stick in there. Height is an advantage!

Well, there's nothing physically wrong with being that tall! If you are worried about your height, you can wear flats instead of tennis shoes, and use the tennis shoes for gym. I wish i was taller, so think of the positives. Like, sports. I bet that you could try out for basketball and make it if you touch up on your skills! Just because you are tall doesn't mean that it's a bad thing. Your growth spurt was just early and your friends will catch up soon! Hope this has helped!

I don't think 5'7 is too tall for that grade. You will be a bit taller than most girls, but that's ok. The boys will grow to be taller. I am tall and was always the tallest girl in my class. Plus it really doesn't matter. Even if you are "too tall", there is nothing you can do about it. Just be happy for who you are!!!!

Relax sweetie, you are not too tall, you have just started maturing sooner than your friends. Before long the boys in your class are going to start growing and most will be taller than you. You "may" be one of the taller girls your age, but being tall can have it's perks too...
Be proud of your height! Don't slump. Keep your shoulders back. You are who you are and you can't change that. Everything will sort of even out over time.

I wouldn't worry about being tall. I was always really tall, too, even in 7th grade. Eventually the boys will catch up. When you get a couple years older, guys will love how tall you are and girls will bejealous of you. You are NOT too tall :) And that's probably as tall as you'll get, so don't worry, you're perfect!

This isn't something you can change, so I don't think there is any limit on heigh to say you are too tall. Look at all the tall beautiful women out there. You will be just fine and if anyone tries to tell you otherwise they are the outcast. Be confident and you will shine!
