say Im adding 3x^2 + X^3. Do i add the bases to make 4x and also add the exponents so the final answer will be 4x^5?

I transfered middle schools this year and when I signed up, I had to sign up for the lowest band class because I didn't have the teacher recommendation needed to get to the higher classes. I've been playing the clarinet for four years, but since i didn't have a recommendation from a teacher at the school i'm in now, i got put into this class.
the class is mostly in seventh grade, and i'm the only eighth grader in it.
i was supposed to get into an advanced class but the teacher always "forgets" to arrange it with the guidance counselor, and now it's almost the end of the year.
we're playing for the whole school tomorrow during the school day and i know it's going to be so humiliating.... because we don't sound good. actually, we're bad.
and the worst part is, i know i can play better, but people have to think that i can't...
i get so frustrated thinking about it...

what should i do?

Ok so i met this guy at work and we hit it off. he wasnt and still isnt easy to deal with or anything but he was fun to talk to. So we became friends and everything. THen he started to like me and although i did like him at one point, it wasnt the way i felt for him anymore and it upset him. He keeps telling me im not living in reality, and every chance he gets no matter how blunt i am to tell him to leave me alone and to stop talking to me, becasue it has gotten to the point where he just wont leave me alone, we cant have a normal conversation anymore. He critizes me, calls me names, and worse tells me that im insane and that i should be committed. hes always telling me that he doesnt want to talk to me anymore then i was like ok, bye. and then he gets mad. I dont understand this at all! im starting to become frustrated, and the worse part is i have to work with him on a regular basis. at work it isnt as bad but outside of work he calls me 2 times at least, and he wont stop IMing me.

I am a religious person, but sometimes it is hard for me to chose the Bible over science. Science says that the world was created by the Big Bang Theory, and the Bible says that God spoke it, and it was there....which kind of seems fmore realistic. This just drives me crazy becasuse books also say that we evolved from monkeys or other animals. and the Bible says that God put a man and a woman on the earth...i debate with myself through all of this, and its really hard for me to choose...i belive in God, but i feel like i have to believe all of it, or none of it at all....give me your opinions.

I am Agnostic, and to my understanding, Jesus sacrificed himself to let us live. He forgave all of our sins. God is perfect. Jesus is perfect. Whatever. I do not want to believe that everything I do is bad and that I am inferior to a God that is holy and perfect. Everyone is equal. And about the "everything I do is bad" part, I mean that whenever something good happens religious people always seem to say "thank you, God." Maybe it WASN'T God. Maybe I did this. Maybe out of my hard work and determination I accomplished something good without God's help. I just don't understand how Christians and who-not can feel like God is perfect and whatever good stuff happens is God's doing and whatever bad stuff happens is their doing. How can they feel that way?
