From questions I've asked previously, many have answered saying "How can you believe in Jesus but not in his word?" It's simple. I believe Jesus died for my sins. Yes. But I don't believe the Bible is entirely accurate so therefore, I don't read it. Not to mention, I find it jibberish and not to mention, boring. I've read it, and it's worse than a history book. My opinion of course. Why do people think it's impossible for me to believe in Jesus but not his supposed word? I mean seriously. Do you think I'll be denied heaven because I don't believe in the Bible entirely? I've accepted Jesus, I believe in God and I'd rather die than deny him. I seriously don't think I'll be denied heaven. I wish people would be more open minded.

This is purely curiosity and oberservation. And I"m fully aware that not everyone thinks the same as I do. :)

There are so many people that make fun of Christians for believing in something that sounds like a "fairy tale" (God creating the Earth)... I'm curious how many people out there believe in the idea that there was some "big bang" that amazingly created the world and life, etc.

I'm not going to disagree that it is very hard to get ones mind around the idea of there being a God. Some "being" up there that just blinks and creates the world and people, etc.. It does sound tough to believe.. I know.

BUT.. does it not sound awfully tough to believe in the idea that somehow, there was enough force in space (which makes me wonder, where did that force come from?) and enough particles of whatever (and where did they come from?) to crash together and miraculously (yes, MIRACULOUSLY) be able to create an amazing solar system that has all these planets that go around the sun, etc etc.. OH.. and life.. out of this nothing.. millions of forms of life..

Aren't they both equally hard to believe?

I'm finally going to learn to speak Italian and I'm using Instant Immersion. I only speak english and have never taken a foreign language class. Just curious to about how long it took any of you to learn from scratch. It's been two days and I'm picking up the basics quick. Of course everybody learns in different speeds, I'm just curious to how long it took anyone here, Thanks.

What is this passion that I feel inside
Such love and joy that I cannot hide
Do you see what you do when you are next to me
You've let me loose, you've set me free

I've tried to hold back this tied of emotion
But I just got sucked into this heavenly ocean
I'm drifting on the timeless currents of pure bliss
Hoping I will alway feel like this

For in your arms is where I'm at
No longer caring for this and that
I've just surrendered all I am
So that I may be, forever your man

Yes, I wrote it.

I had asked a betta question a couple of weeks ago and got some detailed information from Magicman (I will include a link to that resolved question in details so that you can refer to it for more details if needed). Basically, my betta has a stringy-looking thing hanging down from under it's head. Actually it's a little farther back from the head, before you get to the fins.
I grabbed some tweezers (sanitized) and managed to pull some of this stringy stuff off (not all, though). I'm not sure about how long it is, but I managed to get about 2/3 off. My questions are:

1. What is it and how do I treat it?
2. How do I get him to stay still so I can try and get the other piece off?

I had come home on my lunch break and saw it, but I did not have enough time to check everything about the tank. The water parameters have been good for the last few weeks since I introduced my last fish (a dwarf gourami). Temperature is 78 degrees. Water changes about every 3-4 days.
