if you read the Bible you will find that his day off is Saturday, the sabbath, Sunday is the start of his week, and we like to catch him early.
by Friday he has to be so swamped that we might not be able to get through.

I was sitting in my easy chair one Sunday after church. One of the games was on and I was not all that into it. The day before I had did the lawn and took care of weeding the wife's garden. So, Sunday evening I was still in the easy chair and Mrs. Bear appeared with a tray a 'numnums' and a cold beer. She said, "You did a wonderful job on the garden. Here's your reward." (We always do these little things for one another. It's what has worked for us for the past 18 years)

Now with that little story told to ya, maybe you can make out your answer. Just because we have taken a day off doesn't mean we don't appreciate a little praise and worship.

Besides, I doubt God really takes a day off. He rested on the seventh day. I don't think it says he takes a rest every 7th day. Not sure exactly what it says in the good book but that's what I believe.

You sure your not trying to make us 'religious folk' ashamed or think you can turn our own words against us? If ya are, I'm guessing your a card carrying member of the ACLU (Anti-Christ Lovers Union)?

Because we are told to keep that day Holy. I don't know a better way to give God my time than to Honor him on Sunday. If you can't give God 2 hours of your time on Sunday. Tsk tsk shame on u

There is a difference between simply praying and actually going to church to pray there. We pray other days than Sunday.

He should pray to him every day not just on Sundays and we should pray to the saints not the football team, Jesus, Mary, Jesus mother and the Holy spirit.

People pray on Sunday because they are Christian.

People pray on Saturday because they are Jewish.

People pray on Friday because they are Muslim.

Me? I pray everyday, in case God actually does take sides.

I would not say Sunday is God's day off. The Bible says that he rested on the seventh day while creating the world and then later commands his people to keep the Sabath, but no where does it say that he is "off" on Sunday. You can pray to him whenever and wherever you please.

It's not his day off. He rested on the 7th day to show that we should too and take time to talk to him. Especially when we have such busy lives now that the weekends are the only times we can to stop still and take account of our lives whether we're religous or not.
