Alright- this is extra credit for me and I can't seem to find a clear answer. I read already that there are differences in the number of genes, but is that truly the only reason? There have to be enzymes or blocks of some kind- species identifiers? If you know, please help me out. Thank You

Let me preempt my question with the following statement: "I am a devout vegan who does not believe in using animal products."

The mezuzah (the scroll, not the case) is usually written on parchment, which is the skin of an animal (usually a goat).

I am wondering if a mezuzah written on a non-parchment material (like paper) negates its "kosher-ness?"

Is it possible to find certified kosher mezuzot written on non-animal derived material; and if so, where can I find such products?

Thanks in advance.

I live in Georgia and I found that I don't have to pay tax to amazon.com, but I do for other online stores. Does anyone know if just because Apple is in California, I don't have to pay tax, or if they have a store in Georgia I would have to pay tax.

Has anyone in Georgia ever purchased something from Apple?

If there is a global calamity coming, and after that people would kill for a slice of bread, rape & robbery would be commonplace as well as general hatred and meanness, well, would you stay to live through it just because or just take a few sleeping pills and lie out in the snow to freeze "peacefully"?

Just quoting from Richard Dawkins book titled 'The God Delusion' George Bush is quoted as having said 'No I don't know that athiests should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God.' This is only one account (Robert Shermans journalist) of what Mr Bush said so dont get too wound up about it, but I just wondered if religion is part of being American?. Just substitue the word 'athiest' with 'Jews' or 'Blacks' to see how discriminatory that statement was/is. Is there room for non believers in America?

I translate this:
"Cuando se erige el pueblo, se solicita que se procure que su población se extienda hacia el puerto del mismo nombre, ya que es muy importante para la navegación y el control de esas
desoladas costas. "

As

When the town was founded, he asked that the populace give the same name to the port, since it was very important for navigation and control of those desolate coasts.

How am I doing? (This paper was written in 1998-but its very dense to read).

I like this boy named Rob, and we flirted in French class for a whole semester, and I really like him.

My friend Josh, who is also his friend, told me that he keeps on talking about me all the time and that Rob told him that he likes me.

He usually acts really shy or freakishly happy around me.

We were sitting at the lunch table, which was jam packed with people, and I was teasing my friend Kelsey about this guy that she likes, and I was saying that he is her husband. Then she said rather loudly that Rob is my husband and that he has the hots for me. He started screaming curse words at her (mostly the "F" word) and said that he didn't like me, and so did I.

His friends keep on telling me that he's really scared of talking to me, and that I should ask him out, but I'm scared too. Me and Rob are the shy and quiet kids, so that could pose a problem.

If sea level rises due to global warming, then lots of property all over the country, and the world, will get destroyed. Just like so much property in New Orleans. But until recently I lived in a nice shore town, and if I still had a job there I would have considered eventually buying a house there, fully aware of what could happen in the next few decades.
