Its my niece, she is 15 going on 25. Lately she has been ignoring her mum and going out without permission. On occasions she has gone to gigs and is coming back home at 3am etc. Once one of her friends called her and gave a message to one of her siblings, asking my niece to "not forget the vodka".

Just to give you an overall picture, she is mature for her age, she looks older than 15 because of her height and shape. She has a good heart, but she is quite a moaner and always thinks she is being hard-done by. She has an older sister at university, and i suspect she wants to enjoy the same freedoms as her sis.

Her mum seems to have given up disciplining her. Of course i will speak to her mum before going ahead to get mums permission but i know she wants my help cos she asked for help with this before

I want my niece to confide in me, but i dont want her to think that i am condoning her behaviour.

How do i approach this?

(we are of Nigerian origin, not sure if helps)!!

Today I got in massive trouble for the following email.

"Hi! I delivered the notes in your mailbox at 10:00 today, but the lady at the front desk was really lame and refused to time-stamp it. She said she was too busy, but all she was doing was completing a sudoku puzzle. She should be fired, by the way. Anyways, I still delivered them, and myself wrote a stickie note on it with time of delivery. Have a good day!"

Apparently, they pinned me on "disrespect/defiance".
The thing is, I had a huge project to turn into class, and I knew that I would be gone due to a dentist appointment. I told this to my teacher, and she said to turn it into the office with a time stamp, or else she would not take it. The email was to my teacher, and apparently she decided it was threatening and shared it with the counselors. I have been given saturday work detail. I feel I have been wronged. What steps are appropriate to take? Why was I nailed on opinion? What happened to free speech?

I have been married for 6 months. I love my husband he is the perfect man for me, but we live with his parents. My husband and i were dating for about 4 years before we got married. My in-laws were great and then we got married and everything changed. His mom hates me for taking her son focus away from her. Im very unhappy and he knows that. We are indian and in our culture the son and his wife must take care off his parents. My husband thinks this is his duty as the only son (to do whatever they say whenever they say). We have no time alone and i spend most off my day with his mother. She constantly insults me about the way i look and basicly everything i do. Living here has made me feel less of a person. I feel im dying inside. I do not want to hurt anyones feelings but i cant live here anymore and my husband cant leave because he works for his father. What should i do. I do not want to loose my husband but i havent cried as much in my whole life as i have in this 6 months. HELP

Please tell me if this is a typical situation or if I’m being misled. About 6 months ago, I paid $2,800.00 for an SEO package which guarantees that out of the 20 keyword phrases selected, I will have at least 5 of them listed in the Top 10 results on major search engines.

HOWEVER, not only have I not had any sales on my website, the 2 ranking reports they sent me over the last 6 months state that I have zero rankings on all 13 SE’s they’ve submitted my website/keywords to.

The company claims it takes 1 year+ for a brand new website to show any kind of rankings. IS THIS TRUE? They’ve added some text and submitted my website to SE’s several times but not much else. Should I be patient with the company or am I being misled?

I read that there were approximately 1.6 million foreclosures in the US in 2006. Texas had the fourth largest foreclosure rate in the country. I am hearing that this is making it an excellent time to buy. I don't understand why.
