baby s%*t green and pink. That should look just as crappy as the colors you picked for the living room. Good luck in your easter egg.

The same colors either a shade or two darker or a tint or two lighter.
Or you can keep the same colors, but introduce a third color in a significant way. Say you wanted to add coral to balance the coolness of the blue, you might do blue walls, coral dining chair seats and a patterned fabric with both colors for the window treatments or a table runner.
If you do this, whatever the new color is could also be a small accent in the living room--coral pillows on the brown sofa, or art on the walls with a touch of coral.
The additional color could be anything. Silver or taupe work well with blue and brown. Look at fabrics and see what catches your eye. Deep rose, pale yellows, or spring greens could all work.

If they adjoin together, and you can see the dining room from the L/R, then you should incorporate your L/R color scheme in some way in the dining room. I would do sky blue silk side drapes in the D/R. Do accessories in shades of blue. If your D/R furniture is dark brown, then that would be the brown influence. I don't know what your walls are painted, so I cannot really give you a really in depth decorating consultation, but I would really try to keep the color scheme the same if they adjoin.

i find when decorating that you should have at least 3 colors and 2 accent colors. Also to keep the room from being boring you can't forget textures and patterns. It's hard to give advice not knowing your taste and style. If you are looking for a Zen look i would pick up the colors white, pale yellow and black. Spice it up with a print like zebra and leather.

I'd stick with the same colors. Maybe the walls could be painted cream. Then you could find a beautiful fabric with cream, sky blue, and brown colors and use it for curtains and/or seat cushions on the chairs.

I would go with a nice khaki color for the walls...maybe with white crown moulding.

Dark Walnut furniture would look great & keep the continuity flowing from the dark brown in the living room.

I would accent with silver- candlesticks, frames, etc. It will look great!

I would paint the walls tan or mocha and still do accents with the sky blue and brown.
