i have seen on tv where an overweight person will say that they are fine with being overweight, that they dont care and they are happy but how true is this?

if they could take a pill and wake up tomorrow thin, im pretty sure 100% of overweight people would so why do they lie to themselves instead of doing something about it?

I bought a bit of jewellry from a shop almost 2 months ago but asked the shop to hold it til May (gift for woman, didn't want her finding it). I paid by VISA. Since then I've had a change of heart (seen something better elsewhere). Considering its not even been out the door of teh shop, is still tagged etc, can I get a refund? The shop is telling me all they can do is exchange it for something else if I don;t want it....

Any ideas?

we are taught /brainwashed from an early age about all the great and brill things that jesus supposedly did"ahem" but more people seem to have the traits of Judas the grass i mean Iscariot. i know a hell of a lot more folk who would tell tales on their own granny if they thought they would get them into trouble. i reckon judas was the son of god and as for virgin mary, yeah right, i know 2 marys 1 is extremely ugly and likes to cause trouble at work, the other 1 smells like a bog rat yes the book REALLY is true

say it be christianity/scientology are always weirdo's?

Wouldn't it be refreshing that someone deeply into there religion came off as normal everyday folk. I would respect there views so much more if they weren't trying to throw it down our throats.

What do you think???

ps, I'm not sure calling them weirdo's is the right term of phrase but that is what I think when I see these people on TV.

My husband and I have an apartment in Hawaii. And, included with that is a huge ant and roach problem. We seem to get ants in our bathroom and roaches in our kitchen no matter how clean we keep the place.

Unfortunately, I've been told that it's "part of life in Hawaii", and I presume it's because noone really cares to take care of the pests. The roaches are about an inch long. The ants are "ghost ants", are very tiny, and supposedly love water (though I rarely see them near any to be honest). We can't keep spraying RAID because by the time we've thoroughly stopped them, we're getting sick from the smell, and exterminators push our wallets a little farther than they can go. What's a good solution for at least deterring ants and roaches using our home as a pit stop between uncaring persons? There are no children to worry about in this instance - just two adults not wanting to feel like animals in a cave.
