Resilience is a sort of combination of flexibility and the ability to take a blow and bounce back.

Well first look it up in the dictionary. Most people interpret resilience to be an elastic quality literally and metaphorically. The ability to turn a negative into a positive with a certain amount of ease. Some see it as the surprising way people can heal form injuries or come back from tragedy with taking positive steps rather than wallowing in their pain.

It depends what you are asking. Are you asking whether the English word "god" has a meaning; and if so what is it? Or are you asking whether "God (the Creator" has meaning in who He is and what He does? The first question about the Eng word "god"; well to be honest, I do NOt know what is the origin of the word. I guess I can check online, but that would be me just regurgitating what someone else has written. I tend to think of the Eng word "god" to refer to "a or the Creator". When used of the biblical God, then I would refer to "God" as meaning "the uncreated Creator who is full of power and might; a king who has the right and ability to judge, but is not confined to a physical form" As for whether the God of the Bible has meaning... I would say that the question is the wrong way round: the God of the Bible is the means by which ALL else has meaning. No thing can have meaning unless the God of the Bible is truly who He says He is. I understand then that this implies that one has to accept that the God of the Bible - 1 - Exists 2 - Can be experienced by mankind 3 - The Bible is an accurate account of God communicating with mankind (in its original language) I guess what could help answer the second question is "Why should anything have meaning?" Or better still "Why are humans looking for meaning in things?" across ALL cultures throughout all of recorded history... Hope this helps

Hi Ed,
Resilience is a term used to describe a property that any person or material has to come back to his/its original position/shape after a change.
Eg: an elastic rubber band used over a box will go back to its original size when removed. THis is material resilience.
Any person who is inflicted with injuries and recovers well is said to be resilient.
A person can be mentally and physically resilient.
Any person who does not allow mental trauma to change his behaviour/attitude is mentally resilient.

Hope these statements make you realise the meaning and contexts of resilience.\

Resilience ia the ability to bounce back after problems or disappointments. Literally , to return to original shape, like , eg,rubber. For example, you might have somehing planned, perhaps a trip or a party, and it does not go according to plan. Instead of moaning about it for ages, you come back bright and happy with new plans or laugh about what went wrong. Hope this helps

Resilience is the ability to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change.

For example, if I got fired from my job but, instead of getting depressed about it, kept a good attitude and found a better one, I would be resilient.

Think of a situation where you overcame some obstacle despite setbacks and that's what you could write about!

Resilience generally means the ability to recover from (or to resist being affected by) some shock, insult, or disturbance. However, it is used quite differently in different fields.
