With all the Global warming going on at the moment, I believe they have predicted the ice will melt in the next 100 years. Do you believe this or do you think it might end sooner?

I am crapping it, dont want it to happen im my life time, i have another 30-40 years to go yet.

Before I start, I'm not an antichrist or believer, I just don't know whats waiting for me when I hit the end of my road so I choose not to believe or disbelieve anything.

But the question from me is: Is religion just false hope for people who have nothing else in their life to enjoy?

I don't pray to a god, I don't feel the need to be forgiven by anyone other then the person I've upset, and I have a pretty normal life with family and friends that I love. In short, I have no reason to have hope in a god. So to that end, do other people have hope and faith in gods because the rest of their life lacks fulfilment?

As I see it, a god (none in particular) offer enlightenment and fulfilment through worship. Is it not our own our own selves who are responsible for our happiness? To rely on others to give us what we need is weak willed and pitiful, and I think we should work to create our own happiness, not expect it given on a plate.

What do you lot think? Am I just a cynic?

I went to the doctor last week who put me on 10 days of Keflex for whatever bacterial infection I had to heal up (because she believed that the swollen lymph nodes in my groin were due to that -- most likely from shaving.) It has been one week and they are no longer painful, but still swollen. I have never had a problem with this before so I am scared that something is wrong. How long does it take for swollen lymph nodes to go down, usually? And is it likely that I have something else?

FYI -- I had sex six months ago with a man who said he's clean, we wore a condom almost the entire time. Should I be worried about HIV as well?

I am getting tested ASAP.

I just wanted to know everyone's experience with this...

Even though I vacuum before I mop I always have hair on the mop from my pets. When it dries I can pick some off but it still looks nasty and I end up buying a new mophead.

Why is it that NO ONE believes that two teenagers can really be in love?? What because we don't have any "experience" in the world? What is it? There is a reason high school sweethearts exist. Maybe it's beacause when most people were teenagers they were morons and dated people that were horrible for them them tainting the idea of young love being real for them. Why be so bitter??
