I filled out tax forms, said he would call the next day and didn't, signed all forms that needed to be signed.

I went for the job interview Wednesday and he told me that he would call me Thursday to set up a work schedule for me to start friday or monday. So does that mean anything?

By copying your SS card and your ID it sounds like your hired. The manager might just need some time to get you in the system for paychecks and scheduling. Don't call anymore though. Come in and speak to someone face to face, it shows a lot more initiative to actually take the time to come in.

Did they actually state you were hired? If so, they would have surely provided you with a date to begin working.
It sounds like you want to sue due to not getting a job but having to fill out forms. Where you hurt in any way? Would you be able to have a witness? Would you be able to get a doctor to state that your mental or physical health is currently going bad due to the job interviewer stating to fill out paperwork and then not calling to followup? When you called to followup, what did they say to you?
Doesn't sound like this meets normal criteria to sue.

Sure, you can sue. You can sue just about anyone for anything. But my bet is that you'll have to pay your attorney's fees up front, and you'll get laughed out of court. Net result - total embarrassment for you, and loss of the legal fees.
Besides, why would you sue, when all you have to do is pick up the phone and ask about the status of the job.

No you cannot sue. However, the next time someone asks you for your social security number, and other personal information I would suggest asking them what is the rationale for doing so.

I think I would be a little cheesed off considering they have your social security number im sure and all your personal info for nothing. I think I would be giving them a visit and getting some questions answered.

Are you kidding me. Get over it. What would you sue for? Loss of time while at the interview? The chance at getting a new job?
How dare they interview someone and them pick someone better.

No. You can keep on calling them or keep dropping by. You can also enter as a hostess or bus person. You will be on wait staff in no time.

Sorry, you cannot sue because there is no contractual agreement yet. Moreso, it is an offer which has not been accepted in writing.
