What happened was on 23rd August 1939,the soviets and germans signed a non aggression pact. The german foreign minister(Ribbentrop) and his soviet counterpart(molotov)signed this treaty.Interestingly they agreed to divide Poland between them the USSR having everything east of the River Vistula. The germans the remainder.Thier forces invaded Poland simultaneously.Britain and France had a treaty to go to the aid of Poland. So they declared war on Germany. Why not also the USSR?

They in no way met face-to-face. Stalin is common to have used the dissimilar methods that Hitler had used to devastating ends--think of the night of the long Knives (Hitler) and the coach trials and purges of the late 30's (Stalin). i do no longer think of that obtaining Stalin became intense on Hitler's checklist. He observed all slavic people as being inferior, and that they actual had something he needed--residing area, organic supplies, people for slave exertions. Plus, Hitler in all threat found out that Russia had the flexibility to develop right into a substantial means, hence took the possibility to attempt to cease that. There actual became idealogical hatred between the management of the international places, even though all of it seems too cynical to be very truthful.
