I don't use marijuana and I don't particularly care who does, however, as with alocohol prohibition, wouldn't legalizing marijuana create a bunch of jobs and commerce and tax money and get rid of the scumbags that sell pot to our children and make gangsters cool???

Why do you think our Catholic Church hasn't gotten off track like for instance the "Protestants" in making up a new type of church everytime a new problem arises? We maintain only two, the Orthodox Catholic and the Roman Catholic. Why do we have two by the way? Anyway, Protestants have God knows how many denominations...probably about 400,000,000 denominations and growing; they're so off track I think. I'm immensely thankful that our Catholic Church is still on track and strongly pray that we never get off track that way, but I was wondering why, since the Protestants seem to also cherish Jesus Christ the Lord as much as we Catholics do, so, is our spirit and trust in the Lord stronger, or what is it that maintains us so firm and strong on the right track regarding this subject? So, what do you think it is that maintains us the Catholic church so firm?

I tend to get offended when strangers refer to me as "hon" or "sweetie". To me, they are terms reserved for friends, family, and children. I'm entering my mid-twenties and I will admit that I look fairly young (I've been told I could easily pass for fifteen with no makeup on), but I can't help but feel patronized when women not much older or younger than myself say this to me. It's like they assume they know me and/or how old I am. It isn't flattering, it just tends to annoy me. Maybe I'm just uptight but does this ever bother anyone else? I feel like people shouldn't refer to strangers like that... It just seems more cordial.

I've been researching a lot about dog food since i got my puppy. it is unbelieveable the difference in quality between brands. and those brands like prescription diet and pedigree that seem so great actually have such bad quality ingredients... who knew! what do you think of dog food? do you feed your dog holistic food or specially prepared meals? has anyone noticed any great improvements in their pets from switching to a holistic food? for all those who never gave their dog food a second thought, you should! and check out this great site that offers ratings on pratically every dog food on the market!
