Guys would you do something like strip naked in front of sorority girls if you had to do it to join a college fraternity?

As a Brother of a well-respected and prominent Fraternity at my college, I will tell you what my experience is:

Throughout my entire pledging process, there was nothing I was forced to do that any of my brothers wouldn't gladly take off their letters and do with us. The general purpose of a pledging process is to establish a bond between you your pledge brothers... something you wont have with even the closest of your friends. Never should you have to do anything humiliating or harmful to join a fraternity, and if a fraternity tries to make you, ask yourself this - Why would they do this to me, and then want to call me their brother? What does that word even mean to them, and what does their fraternity really stand for?

LOL though harnless this "prank" is to break down barriers to all the members of the fraternity start at the same level. There is nothing wrong with being naked and if joining the fraternity is important to you, go for it. Just imagine during that time, as your focus on a picture on the wall or clock, that you are looking out at the beach covered with your swim wear

people do crazy stuff to join fraternity. is like they feel the need to be popular or wanted; are u gonna listen to a bunch of knuckle heads telling u what to do for their entertainment. if u r looking for people telling u what to do, at least get paid and join the army. dont do anything stupid cuz when u graduate college and u r in the public eye, someone will bring a pic of u dancing naked in your younger years.

Fundamentally, there's nothing wrong with them. They can actually be good because they provide people with the opportunity to: meet new people learn how to compromise develop a sense of belonging be involved with the community develop leadership skills Unfortunately, they have thier negatives: members tend to follow like sheep and don't learn to think for themselves mucho drinking - to a point where it's not fun - it's dangerous abuse of power within the house elitist culture Because of those negatives and others, many colleges have taken a hard stand against frats and sororities in order to protect students and protect the school's rep.

I had a chance to join a frat and they wanted me to do some silly stuff...Frat boys are Corney...be your own man...

Don't join a frat...unless you can't meet girls and friends with out other people doing the work for you...yes Frats have their perks..but I just think Frat guys, think their Frat brothers and their Frat is the Best.....

Naked in front of Girls is cool, but what else are they going to ask of you..your whole freshman year you Will be their slave..but after that you get make slaves of your own...

You have to listen closely at what they ask, and how they ask it. When they tell you to do something, they necessarily don't mean you have to do it. Sometimes they expect you to not do it. They expect you to show some real character when you say no, Even if you get hassled after wards. If you keep doing what they tell you, they think of you less. Show some character and say no.
At the end it is all a joke.
