I am getting married in June. I used to take my engagement ring off when I washed my hands and took showers and all that. This makes my fiance nervous because he is afraid I will lose it somewhere. Will it hurt my ring to keep it on in the shower and when I wash my hands? When should I take it off (like when would I actually harm it). My ring is White Gold with diamonds in it if that makes a difference. Thanks!

what are the reasons?? don´t start about STD´s please, that doesn´t have to do anything to do with marriage...what´s wrong with having sex within a long-term loving relationship??? I think waiting with sex until mariage can cause people to rush into marriage and marry the wrong person...there should be a minimum of time of dating before getting married to avoid this...and how do you kno you are right for each other if you have never lived together before??

A long time ago, I lost faith that doctors are generally competent, or care about their patients. For example, you may have to wait a week to get an appointment, and then, when you FINALLY get "an audience with the king", he gives you some superficial, cursory "examination", and he just mouths some platitudes about getting rest or some such thing.

Right now, I may or may not have a meniscus problem in my knee. I may or may not have a problem with my ACL. Either I should walk unless it hurts, walk only short distances, or lay in my apartment for three weeks without stepping outside. I'm not sure. That is the recommendation of three different doctors.

Why does it seem like doctors don't really have a grasp of human anatomy? When they can pinpoint the exact point where something hurts, and they can feel the soft tissue around the area, it should be self-evident. Even my massage therapist had a different answer.

Are doctors just ambivalent?

I have always been deathly allergic to cats. My chest tightens and I cannot breathe. My boyfriend has 3 cats and loves one in particular. This cat is like his best friend. He sleeps with it, eats with it, and studies with it on his lap. When we have conversations, he interrupts me to "acknowledge" its presence in the room. He refuses to keep the cat out of the bedroom even though I have to take breathing meds every night and sneeze and cough uncontrollably. Not only do I feel second fiddle to this cat, but I also feel like he just does not care enough about me to compromise. I understand that he sees cats as people, but he is supposed to love me. Moreover, he does not like to come over to my place as much because he loves his house. What do I do?

First of all,English is not my native language,so I can make some mistakes...=)
My parents are so strict and overprotective!They won't let me wear miniskirts,curl my hair,wear makeups,buy purses(they thinkpurses are useless),have a boyfriend, paint my nails,hang out with my friends at weekends,listen to music,and go shopping without them..And also,they are so religious!I think it's ok to be religious,but the problem is they say bad things about other religions.We live in the U.S and I think they should respect others' religion like many Americans do.They say bad things about Muslims, Buddhists, Catholics...And that makes me feel bad because I have many friends who's Muslim,Catholic,and Buddhist.When I tell them how I feel about their strict rules,they just criticize me,saying that children should do whatever their parents tell them becau-se the bible said so.Now I don't say anything about how I feel to avoid myself getting in trouble.Can you help me?=)

2001 MPV. Was missing and hesitant to go when accelerator was pressed. Diagnostic code showed missing on cyl 3, so changed plugs and wires.

Drove OK for couple of weeks then suddenly it is slow to accelerate from a stop when accelerator is pressed. It seems to respond better when less pressure put on accelerator; in fact if you push accelerator too hard RPM increases to 4k, but there is no real increase rate of acceleration.

Once it is up to speed, car seems to run better, but still not responsive if you try to accelerate at higher speeds.

The car also loses speed as well as RPM when going up steep hill. It is still unresponsive when you press the accelerator a little, but when depressed more the RPM jumps to 4k with little increase in speed.

The check engine light is not on, so I am not sure if a diagnostic tool will pull a code.

I'm paying loans for the Sallie Mae loans for my kids college educations. I'm paying ~$7500.00 in interest this year but I believe only $2500.00 is deductible when I itemize--is that true? Would I be better off getting a 2nd mortage to tie the interest to my house which would make all interest deductible?

just wondering, because I keep hearing "queen elizabeth II" but wouldn't her husband technically make him the king? and wouldn't her son be the prince? so why is her husband prince harry instead of king harry considering a prince is the son of a queen and queen elizabeth II is a queen herself! where is the king? when will there be a king of england walking around? im sorry, i don't know a lot about the british monarchy but i would think the queen's husband would be the king and prince harry's father would be the king.
