Would the Bible then imply some type of genetic engineering rather than evolution?

As I recall, "after their kind" referred to Noah and the flood. There was no way that two of everything could be loaded in the ark, so every animal was represented by either itself or its kind. Cattle after their kind. Not every animal related to cattle. Just cattle. After the flood, then, cattle gave rise to those of their kind. If that isn't evolution I am sure someone will correct me in the most acidic of terms.

the bible doesn't even know there is a such thing as genetics nevermind engineering.

there is a phrase in the bible somewhere i cant remember where about god being pleased at how a guy engineered a striped goat by feeding the mother striped grain or something... its not exactly that but its ridiculously stupid.

The bible's discussion of this, as with many other things, is fiction. Evolution is a proven fact.
