TOLEDO, Ohio - A boy was locked up in a small dog cage when he was being punished and while his father used drugs, and he sometimes had to wear a shock collar, authorities said.

His parents appeared briefly in court Thursday on charges of child endangerment and making or selling drugs in front of the boy, 10, and his 5-year-old brother.

Jessica Botzko, 28, and John Westover, 37, were arrested Wednesday, a day after the boys were left alone at home and ran away. They were found on a neighbor's porch.

The older boy told officers that he left because he was tired of being locked up, Carroll said.

The cage was less than 2 feet high and 2 feet wide, and had a chain across the top with two locks on each end, he said.

"He had to tuck his knees into his chest, and he fell asleep in there on a couple occasions," Carroll said. "It wasn't continuous. It was probably on and off for punishmen

there are thousands of cases in which people have been miraculously healed by faith. How is that a bad thing? Faith encourages people to do good things and live happy fulfilling lives. Car accidents kill more people than anything else and the need for oil has caused countless deaths Certainly there are much worse things than religion Yet I don't see anyone out there boycotting driving.

I work for an apartment complex.A resident sent me this:

The other day my daughter Aimee and I came home and had noticed that Aimee's bicycle (on our porch) apparently had been used by someone other than her. This is the 2nd occurance. We suspect it is the children who live in our complex, as they are frequently out and about on their own bicycles when we arrive. Can you please ask/tell our friendly neighbors to please respect others' property? Basically she wants me to write a letter to all the residents.Should I? and what should it say?

I'm pretty sure most people asking these questions are here to find other resources than seeing a psychologist. So why do people keep replying with "Go to a shrink"? That just seems so redundant. The fact is, if you feel like cutting yourself, then there is obviously something wrong. So why tell them to go see a doctor, when you could give a real answer and share a personal story that is similar to the question at hand? Cause for all to. People are here for answers, not for advice.

My Doctor said that if I haven't had my baby by this coming up tuesday then she will strip my membrain at my doctors appointment on tuesday. So, I forgot to ask her how long then will it take then for me to go into labor after she strips my membrain? My mom got her membrain stripped with my little sister but she didn't have her for 4 days after that. Does it take that long with everyone? Im not really having anymore contractions but im measuring now 41 weeks and im only 37 weeks. She said that my baby is so big that im way ready to have this baby. My last baby was born at 36 weeks. If anybody has facts on stripping your membrain, please fill me in. Thanks alot!!!

We have been dating for 1 year, I noticed that something was up when last summer (summer into his fr. yr. of college) he had a curfew of 12am, and when he came home at 3am once, he was grounded for a week. I live on my own, and he cannot stay over at my house because there are no "parental figures". He is going to school for something that he don't want to do b/c his parents told him he should be in business b/c it makes money. His parents hold everything over his head (ie. "we pay your cell phone, you want your cell phone right" or "we pay 30,000 dollars for your school, so we're going to make sure you get good grades, do you want us to pull you out of school?") He called his parents yesterday to see if it was O.K. if he took Philosophy instead of Calculus over the summer, I am so over whelmed, I don't know what to do, I want him to have more freedom, and not to be afraid to stand up to his parents. I have a DVR dvd recorder. I have only a few discs and have used them all up. One of my discs is a DVD-RW. I want to know how to make this writable agian, for every time I upload it onto my computer, I have to finalize it, and cannot record on this disc again, even with the DVD-RW. So far the war in Iraq has been a huge mistake and is a mess right now. Most americans don't support it anymore. You hear more bad news come out of that country than good news. And the war has already hurt Bush's approval ratings and cost some republicans and democrats their jobs in the last election. He's already dug himself a hole he can't get out of so why don't we let him dig deeper? If you let him do what he wants then he either fails miserably or we win the war. Winning the war would be the best case scenario and is in the best interest of everybody, except for the political careers of some but who cares they are politicians not people. And if he fails then he only has himelf and those who supported him to blame. Democrats could use those failures to win the presidency in 2008 and further their majority in congress. I'd say let him do what he wants and most likely fail then use it as leverage in the next election.
