So far the war in Iraq has been a huge mistake and is a mess right now. Most americans don't support it anymore. You hear more bad news come out of that country than good news. And the war has already hurt Bush's approval ratings and cost some republicans and democrats their jobs in the last election. He's already dug himself a hole he can't get out of so why don't we let him dig deeper? If you let him do what he wants then he either fails miserably or we win the war. Winning the war would be the best case scenario and is in the best interest of everybody, except for the political careers of some but who cares they are politicians not people. And if he fails then he only has himelf and those who supported him to blame. Democrats could use those failures to win the presidency in 2008 and further their majority in congress. I'd say let him do what he wants and most likely fail then use it as leverage in the next election.

Also it would be nice if people could actually answer the question rather than spouting off about what their views are.

I would have no objection to Bush continuing to be an *** except that he is getting US soldiers killed. Personally, I value the life of every US soldier... why don't the Neo-Cons?

Bush may be commander in chief, but he and his administration chose the wrong path on this war for a very long time. Apparently, the Democrats were needed to push for change in policy. He definitely has selective hearing so strong measures are needed to get him to pay attention instead of just letting everything ride and hoping for the best. That is not how wars are won. There is much more at stake here than who wins the next election. The democrats are paying attention to the people they represent.

1st --People are dying-- Our soldiers and Iraqi civilians (terrorists too). I'm more worried about our soldiers dying for little justification.

2nd - We are spending $2 Billion a week there. Over 100bb a year all being added to our national debt.

3rd - The after effects of the war- Tons of soldiers lives ruined. Many of them are in reserve units, national guard etc. So they're away from home in what is not their primary career.

Let me put it this way. If you hit your hand with a hammer, you don't keep doing becuase you know it hurts and is not a good thing for your hand. Your suggesting we keep hitting our hand with a hammer thinking it'll stop hurting the longer we do it.

Why should we let him have his way with an unpopular wrong foreign policy? Just because he says so! What do you think we have here Nazi Germany? He is not a dictater, as much as he would love to be one.

As for Democrats it is not only their right but their responsibility to challange the Administration when things are going wrong.

Democracy thrives on dissent and difference of opinion. Totalitarianism thrives on lemmings and sheep.

Are you a baaaad little sheep?

As a moral American, I feel the soldiers lives are more important than any political victory.

Because letting him have his way means more American soldiers die and more of my tax money is spent on a war that will yield nothing.
