Yes, I know of students in high school who take low level college courses (usually for the general education requirements) so that way they are saving both money and time so when they get into college they don't have to take as much classes.

I know it depends on the college and highschool.
I suggest contacting the college you're interested in, or if there is a local community college in your area, I am sure they allow HS students to take classes. Also get in contact with your HS advisor.

Good luck!

You can be enrolled in high school and take a few courses at a local college at the same time. These classes can earn credit to satisfy your high school requirements; however, the credits won't count towards your college.
Example:
Henry is a really good math student. He finishes Trigonometry in his junior year of high school. During his senior year, he takes Calculus (which isn't offered at his school) at a local community college, with his high school's approval. He earns an A in the class, which raises his high school GPA and earns him another 4 units. When he starts at Harvard the next year as a math major, he begins with zero units, but he has already completed the first requirement in his major (Calculus) and can begin the next class (Advanced Headachy CalcuTrigebra).

So you're only ENROLLED in more than one place of education, but can only earn CREDITS/UNITS for each class at one school at a time.

Yes, it's call dual enrollment and you have to make sure that your high school and the college of your choice participates in it.
Most of the time, you take college courses during the summer and if you pass them, then you earn your credits for them. And once you get into college, your classification will be determined by the number of credits you have.

Yes, if your grades and credits are all in order! Many teens take PSEO courses at community colleges, which allows them to earn college credits while they graduate from high school. In MN, the state picks up most of the cost!

YES! Talk to your guidance counselor at school or to someone in the admissions office at the college you want to go to. I went to college the summer between my junior and senior years and was able to continue in night class. I finished my freshmen year in college by the time I graduated high school.

It is where I live. I don't know if it's available everywhere though. You have to be in what they call AP (accelerated program) honors classes to do it. Some kids in these classes actually already have college credits for classes they have taken in 11th and 12th grades. But I'm sure it is probably a thing that some school districts have and some don't. Also, if you are home schooling in 12th grade classes you can do it at some colleges.
