If 10 strangers where in a house, 5 wearing yellow shirts and 5 wearing blue chances are someone would manage to cause a line put down the middle of them. yellow v blue. Why do people love doing this, especially through the annonimity of yahoo answers ?

A woman walked into the kitchen to find her husband stalking around with a fly swatter.

"What are you doing?" She asked.
"Hunting Flies" He responded.

"Oh! Killing any?" She asked.
"Yep, three males, two females," he replied.

Intrigued, she asked. "How can you tell them apart?"

I mean, almost everything is based off another thing. There's really nothing original to read or see anymore! Why is it so hard to come up with original ideas, do you think?

Ex: Tim Burton movies. (Love them all, but how is it thinks up such wonderful things?)

Do you think it's because it's hard to imagine what we've never learned?

And the most important question: How can someone open up their imagination to think up the impossible? Any books that can help with expanding one's mind?

It's quite difficult to twist our minds in strange ways, i suppose we are afraid to see what is strangely possible.

I had a flat tire and this nice young man came out in 90 degree afternoon, southern heat and not only offered help but insisted. It is nice to see that there are still gentlemen around. I would like to send him a special thank you because I didn't have any money on me at the time. What would be appropriate? He is roughly between ages 19-25.

im like so upset rite now i cant stop crying and stuff. i was about to leave for this pep squad meeting for the hs im going to nx yr. but when my mom picks me up from d-hall she said i cant go. she said since my best friends are doing it she dosnt want me to be in it cause she hates them. she said i need new friends she hates mine. well i love my friends i have known them forever and im not going to stop being friends wit them. she said i also cant do cheerleading cause she believes i dont really want to do that, ya well i really do and thats mainly wh im so upset rite now. she thinks i dont want to do this but she cant see me crying for hrs that i really want to do this. is like anyway to change my moms mind cause i seriously wanna do it but shes not wanting me to. and its not just the meeting she dosnt want me to go to she dosnt want me to be in cheerleading or pep squad at all, she wants to change my classes to ROTC which is so gay i wouldnt do that in my life.

Theres this guy, he can have almost any girl he wants and yet he wont leave me alone.... were complete opposites... hes a jock, I'm a bookworm (kinda).. Hes a partier, im definitly not.... I can't tell if he's serious with me or not. he says to just give him once chance and if he messes up he'll leave me alone but the problem is he never talks to me much in person its usually on text... and we tried going out a few years ago and all we did then was talk online for two months.... i never know when to take him seriously... so how do i know if he's serious this time or not? I do like him, its just i dont see how it can work.... at all........

I have been going to the gym for the past month 5 days a week for about 80 minutes each time (30 min. on the cross trainer, 15 min. on the treadmill at full incline, 15 min. on the bike & 20 min. lifting using various nautilus machines) I thought this would eventually work but I haven't really been showing much progress since I first started working out. I eat everything I am supposed to with a restricted 1200 calorie/day diet and I'm just trying to figure out the problem because I have been consistent for so long but have only lost about 2 or 3 pounds. If anybody could help me figure out what my problem is that would be great! Thanks.

A couple of New Jersey hunters are out in the woods when one of them falls to the ground. He doesn't seem to be breathing, his eyes are rolled back in his head.

The other guy whips out his cell phone and calls the emergency services. He gasps to the operator: "My friend is dead! What can I do?"

The operator, in a calm, soothing voice, says: "Just take it easy. I can help. First, let's make sure if he's dead."

There is a silence, then a shot is heard. The guy's voice comes back on the line. He says: "Okay, now what?"
