I have seen both parties rant and spew forth rhetoric and innuendo. I don't think ignorance is limited to any specific political ideology.

no, i agree, there tends to be many more posts of conservatives "bashing" liberals" on this site; i i feel i can be somewhat objective on this subject as i embrace neither side, although i must admit i find fault more often with the conservatives than i do the libs. so many are just so extreme (i call your attention to the "let's nuke them all" contingent).
but back to your question. i think the reason for this is two-fold. one, i believe there are seriously conservative elements in the yahoo editorial staff. as many can attest to, some posts are buried; perhaps never appearing on the first page, while others linger on the first page for much too long. the liberal elements of the staff are perhaps too bogged down by some misguided sense of fair play.
secondly, there can be little doubt that some posters on this site are paid professional blogger/activists. i shudder to imagine just how many. having a somewhat offbeat sense of humor, i love the work of a good troll, but these paid trolls are no fun at all; in fact, they are quite tiring.
just my two cents.

Since you do not see so many libs whining, you probably come on during the wrong times. There have been plenty of times when libs posted question after question whining about the conservatives that just went on and on.

It is talk radio winding them up. All liberals have to stir the pot is air America and almost no one listens to them and besides "conservatives" has too many syllables for a real rant.

It's becuase, they complain a lot about everything else, Us cons our simply complaining about those who complain too much, I really dont like Dems/Libs policies, they are very anti-individual and pro-group, I hate that.

... libs rant against Bush... the president, and his policies... a physical man, with actual ideas and actions
Reps rant against some theoretical idea of a liberal that they have in their heads... which they are often very different from conservative to conservative...
but no matter what.... the liberals are always responsible for what ever is wrong in their life and with the nation...
it's a scape goat, a ghost in the night... someone to blame your problems on without taking responsibility...
I mean from question to question, they blame them for the exact opposite things... in one for being lazy and on welfare... in the next for being elitist, wealthy and Hollywood types...

There is an old saying that goes like this; 'All evil needs to succeed is for good men to stand by and do nothing.' What you call rants from conservatives are simply good men doing something to fight the evil in our midst. Liberalism IS a rant, all by itself.

It's not just you - I complain much about the idiocracy of the left, and I'm proud of it. That you aren't seeing it happening the other way is proof that you have selective judgment. You should be happy that we don't all think alike and that we are free to express it.
Are you complaining that we complain? If so, I want to complain.
