Theres this guy, he can have almost any girl he wants and yet he wont leave me alone.... were complete opposites... hes a jock, I'm a bookworm (kinda).. Hes a partier, im definitly not.... I can't tell if he's serious with me or not. he says to just give him once chance and if he messes up he'll leave me alone but the problem is he never talks to me much in person its usually on text... and we tried going out a few years ago and all we did then was talk online for two months.... i never know when to take him seriously... so how do i know if he's serious this time or not? I do like him, its just i dont see how it can work.... at all........

I cant see any reason why not. They say nothing ventured nothing gained and even if the only thing gained at the end of the day is that you are sure you dont like him then so be it. Life is about learning, you are young so you got a fair bit to learn.
Im guessing he doesnt want you as a friend, its possible he may be trying to get you into bed. Just be weiry of that (not to the point that your paranoid but yeah)

Its a perfect setup for a relationship with a guy who truly lkes you, I think. I say give him a chance, roll with it and don't resist the way it is or it will be. This guy likes you and by what you said, it sounds like he's liked you for a long time.
It doesn't hurt that he's a jock and is probably popular and it will expand your social atmosphere. You're probably less opposite than you think. Guys and girls are different in what interests them and I think that's what makes a relationship work. I doubt he's going to make you throw a football around with him and you're not going to force him to read The Great Gatsby but you'll find common ground. Go for it girl!

Why want him? You don't even have much in common with a partier/jock. He's not serious.

i don`t want to sound mean, but, get a clue, you sound fairly intelligent. try talking to your parents, that`s what they are there for. OR, live and learn.
