It's been 5 years now & not only hasn't the US military won the war in Iraq they haven't won the war in Afganhistan either. We all know the reasons why the US military hasn't won including: Democrats, Bush, Rumsfeld, Rules of engagement, lack of troops, unsecure Iraqi/Afghan borders, etc....

But might there be something that can be done to win the war on terror without having to invade every country in the world that may or may not have them?

Maybe do what the Israelis do most the time in their 30 year war on terror: Fight terror w/ terror & make sure your borders are as secure as possible. Which means using good intelligence (spys) & military special forces to destroy the terrorists & build a good strong fence/wall on the US southern border.

Otherwise the US is going to fighting Iraq type wars for the next 100 years or more & is that what Americans want?

I asked a question earlier today about why the media didn't report the good stories coming out of Iraq. I made it clear (although some didn't read it) that I knew that things weren't going well in Iraq and that they all don't just love each other. For those who actually answered it honestly, thank you. My question for those who believe nothing good comes out of Iraq or if it does it is propaganda because nothing good is coming out of Iraq is this: Why doesn't the media cover positive stories in the USA? Are we in the same situation as Iraq? Do we have suicide bombers in the streets? I am just wondering how you can spin this. Nothing good comes out of Iraq because you people state there is very little. Is this true about America, because we get about the same amount of positive news?

I heard once that scientist put a mouse in cage and hooked up electrodes to his brain. The cage had two buttons. Mistake of letting him call here last thursday to collect a DvD. He was just acting like nothing happened and trying to kiss me etc. I foolishly responded and he thinks its all Ok. She is a severe alcoholic and severely abused and at times outright abandoned my husband and his 7 siblings. The only thing that has changed since then is her alcohol problem has gotten worse. I have a strong close family and don't always feel okay with not allowing our son around her. The two times he has seen her have been extremely negative experiences for us. He is just a baby and she is so mean to him with her actions and language. She gave him her dog's toy with slobber all over it for him to play with. Her house is covered in animal feces and pee. As far as allowing her in my home, its out of the question because of her drunken and sober lashings towards me. She has told the whole family my son isn't my husband's and its completely false. She doesn't know we had to see a fertility specialist for a year just to have our son. Help anyone. I just need to know if we are being fair. I don't want to enable her and her drinking.
