You need to do your own research because there are many schools that can teach you the basics but I would also recommend that while you are in school that you get some type of job with an automotive shop just to get more hands on training.

As for ITT their price is $42,000 for two years.

See of your school has automotive technology classes is its vocational education department. If it does not maybe you could approach an owner or manager of an auto shop and ask if you can watch and learn in exchange for doing odd jobs such as clean-up, errands, etc.

I've heard of many professionaly run courses, classes, and universities over the years, ITT comes to mind, but I'd do a search on it. Try www.dogpile.com - they search all the other search engines.

Tell your parents you'd either like to find an old car to work on, or take ballet lessons.
