I'm tryin to sell my house in Michigan. We have had it up for sales for 2 months, and had only one showing. We can't lower our asking price any lower then it currently is without having to come to closing with money. (that I don't have) Since our realtor already lowered his commission he suggested talking to our mortgage company about a short sale. What is your opinion?

A little boy goes to his dad and asks, "What are Politics?"

Dad says, "Well son, let me try to explain it this way:

#1. I'm the head of the family, so call me The President.

#2. Your mother is the administrator of the money, so we call her the Government.

#3. We're here to take care of your needs, so we'll call you the People.

#4. The nanny, we'll consider her the Working Class.

#5. And your baby brother, we'll call him the Future.

"Now, think about that and see if it makes sense."

So, the little boy goes off to bed thinking about what Dad has said.

Later that night, he hears his baby brother crying, so he gets up to check on him. He finds that the baby has severely soiled his diaper.

So, the little boy goes to his parent's room and finds his mother sound asleep. Not wanting to wake her, he goes to the nanny's room. Finding the door locked, he looks in the peephole and finds his father in bed with the Nanny He gives up and goes back to bed.

The next morning, the little boy says to his father, "Dad, I think I understand the concept of politics now."

The father says, "Good, son, tell me in your own words what you think politics is all about"

The little boy replies, "The President is screwing the Working Class, while the Government is sound asleep. The People are being ignored and the Future is in deep ****."

Theres a pet store near me that's been going down hill for years now (the owner has obviously lost interest in it). I went in there to see if they had any good deals on bird cages because I'm going to be getting a cockatiel soon. I decided that since I was in there I'd look at the cockatiels, and I found them in less then satisfactory conditions. The one I was interested in was in a dirty cage, and what was left of his tail feathers (which wasnt much at all) were bent and mangled. The cages are behind a glass door so I couldnt really interact with them, but I bent down and put my finger on the glass and he came over to check me out. He seemed interested, and only slightly cautious of me. I feel so bad for him, and since I was going to get one anyway, I was wondering, should I buy him, and save him from his bad conditions, or should I go to a breeder? I dont know much about cockatiels (Im reading up before I buy one, dont worry), so I dont know if thats a sign of sickness or not.

This coming Friday is the last session with my counseling psychologist. She has helped me so much this semester at college and I want to pay back her kindness.
But I am worried she wouldn't accept any gifts because of the ethics procotol as a psychologist.
Do you guys have any good idea for gifts that might be suitable for her without her refusing it? I really want to pay back her generosity deeply.

If you look at my questions, I am quite an Atheist. But I keep flip flopping back and forth from Christian to Atheist. One day, believe in God and I believe Jesus died for me, then another day, I don't believe in God at all and I don't believe Jesus even existed at all. I am so confused to what is the truth and what isn't. My life has been dedicated to finding some answers to questions like, "how did we get here to begin with?" and "why can't evolution clearly explain how our common ancestor we share with apes got here?" I'm so confused.

I asked a question last night about the morals of capital punishment.

Many people said that I would change my mind if a member of my family were the victim.

Let me tell those people, My father was murdered in front of my mother when I was a young child for speaking up to a stranger in defence of my mother's honour.

No one in my family supports capital punishment because of this. Revenge doesn't give our father back, and having felt the pain of his death, why should we wish the same on the killer's family? They weren't holding the knife.

For those who suppor capital punishment, I'd like to point them to thebest answer to last night's question and then hear their opinions anew.

I am wondering why some guys are good guys and others not. Do you think it is just in their jeans or maybe the way they are raised? Maybe some have God in their life more than others? I was dating a guy who is a jerk, but he is a Christian. I also have a friend who is Christian but is always positive and in a good mood.
