A common talking point on the right is that you can't question the president during war time. Just yesterday, Tom Delay said it was treason.

I wonder then how we had elections during bother the Vietnam and Korean Wars, and in both cases, the White House changed from Democrat to Republican.

Did Ike and Nixon get elected without questioning how their respective wars were being fought?

Our neighbour has attacked a hedge which we believe is in our land.Her nephew states that the boundary is hers - our land registry docs clearly show that the disputed area is in our boundary, and I am being asked to fork out up to £1k to have a surveyor draw up a survey plan. Land registry boundaries have a tolerance of +/- 1m apparently, and her plot is not registered. What do I need to do to convince him that what is mine, IS MINE? (Apart from shaking him gently by the throat!)
Any advice is welcome please.

you guys always tell us we have no proof of God's existance other than the Bible and stuff, but what proof do YOU have that God does not exist? just wanted to know. oh yeah and are most of you raised up as atheists or do you guys just go through a stage where you have come to think that there is no longer a true God.

So, accordingly, Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations.

Is this okay? Or would it be better if I stuck to my own ungodly values of not taking or owning slaves?

he cheated on me at a party, he kissed sum girl, but im so paro that he did more! he said they didnt even touch! :S confusing?! i cnt even go out coz he controlls me but when i tell him how i feel bout him goin clubbin wid his mates he jst laffs and says im going still :( .. he also got touched up the last time he went out and i argued wid him and he thought it was just normal to get touched up!? see im only 17 and hes 18 so i aint exactly allowed in night clubs

What would you base off of to determine what decade a band is from(60s, 70s, 80s, etc.)?

Do you determine it with...
A. The decade they started performing
B. The decade they wrote most of their good songs
C. The decade they became famous
D. The decade they sound most like

I say A but my friend disagrees.

We argued about AC/DC:
I said they are a 70s band because they originated in the 70s but he says they are an 80s band because they sound 80s and made their best song in the 80s(Back in Black).

My questions are:
How do you determine the time period a rock band is from?
What time period do you think AC/DC is from based on my friend's and my argument?

My younger sister wants to stop babysitting and get a job. So far, she's only heard back from the fast food places. I've always heard that girls in those jobs get harassed/grabbed by customers a lot. Should I be worried?

He's 3 about 35lbs now, not sure if that matters, so just a little guy. Plan to use though for maybe 10 years. Looking for a "good" brand and wondering whats a typical price on a mattress and box spring. See them advertised all across the board. We'd like a full since we'd sit on it too to read books at night, and have plenty of space in the room.
