I also had some pasta and some cereal (I know, loads of carbs), but I'm sure to burn at least 1030 calories today via cardio. Will the ice-cream hurt me?

I don't usually consume more than 800 calories daily, but with the ice-cream, pasta, and cereal (I didn't eat it all at one time) it's about 860. If I do eat again today it will be after the workout.

Not only is it okay for you to eat, but I recommend it. I wouldn't recommend it every day though.

Keeping on a diet is a hard thing to do. Evetually you feel like you're getting gyped on food, don't you? Letting yourself have food apart from your normal routine let's you continue to be healthy while still enjoying such things. I bet the ice cream tasted darned good too. So eating healthy again doesn't seem so unfair anymore.

As long as you don't do so too often, I promise that nothing bad is going to happen because of it.

*Edit: I just read your additional details. You really need to eat more. The average adult should consume around 2,000 calories a day. Depriving your body of food will harm you more than help you. It may take longer to reach your ideal weight, but eating 3 nutritional meals a day will supply your body with everything it needs and keep your metabolism active.

No, the ice cream won't hurt you. An occasional treat is good for the morale. If you're worried about carbs, be sure to buy food with good carbs (whole grains, lots of fiber). There are even ice cream bars that you can fit into your diet (my doctor told me to buy sugar-free over fat-free, fat isn't as readily absorbed but sugar easily converts to fat). Weight Watchers, Blue Bunny, and Breyers have some really good, low cal, low sugar ice cream products if you're just jonesing for ice cream.

After reading your additional details: Unless you are on a diet carefully overseen by your doctor at this time, EAT MORE!!! 800 calories a day is not a healthy caloric intake for a day. If you are trying to lose weight, bring your caloric intake up to 1000 calories a day. If you are a "normal" weight for your height, 1100-1200 calories a day is recommended. I have been attending Weight Watchers, it's good. If you're that concerned about your weight, sign up with them. The one thing I learned is that if you starve yourself (which is basically what you're doing), you won't lose weight. Your body will start to fight you every step of the way.

Girl, every cell in your body needs carbs and that's a fact. Something's I learned in my nutriton class in college is you need at least 10% fat in your diet (or approx. 60 grams or less). Of all the food you eat a day: 55 - 60% should be carbs, 20 - 25% should be fat , 15 - 25% should be protein. Don't compare yourself to models because they are 25% underweight which equils only 8% of people in America. Decrease you calorie intake, increase your calorie expenditure. Limit desserts to 1 or 2 weekly. Drink 6 - 8 glasses of FLUID a day. Ice-cream won't hurt you, but to be healthy eat right (doesn't necessarilly mean 100% healthy) and excercise regularly and make both a life habit.

Ice cream won't hurt you. Eating a double or triple serving might.

*Now knowing that you consume so few calories a day, I must ask you to stop before you hurt yourself. You need to consume AT LEAST 1500 a day to maintain your health. You are basically starving yourself. If you continue along this path, you might stop having your period (not a good thing). Please speak to a doctor about your diet as soon as possible.

It shouldn't. As long as you don't eat anything else bad. It's good to mess up a little once in a while, so your body doesn't boycott loosing weight. Give it a treat about once or twice a week (but keep moderation in mind). If it does, no big deal. There's always tomorrow- where you can learn from your mistakes and get stronger! :)

No eating an icecream bar is not something you should be freaking out about ( For you especially or w.e. you spell it lol, if you feel regret about it, for for a 15 min bike ride really slow at first then really fast then come slow to when you come near the end of your excersive. You can lose 500 Calories!

You wont get fat as long as you dont continue in that eating pattern. If anything a binge like that may INCREASE your metabolism for a day or so. If you have cravings for chocolate it usually means that you need Magnesium and you can find Magnesium in Raw nuts& seeds, fruits and legumes. If you have cravings for other sweets it usually means you need one of the following : -Chromium - Carbon - Phosphorus- Sulfur- or -Tryptophan Foods that have these are : Chromium - Brocolli, grapes, cheese, chicken, dried beans Carbon- Fresh Fruit Phosphorus- Chicken[poultry in general] Liver Beef eggs dairy nuts or grains Sulfur- Cranberries , kale, cabbage Tryptophan- Raisins, liver, lamb, cheese, spinach

Yep, too much carbs.
I wouldn't think you would need cardio if you only had 1030 calories all day.
Most people need more calories than that just to survive and handle normal bodily functions.

As long as you get enough exercise, it will not hurt you to eat ice cream in moderation. Just keep in mind that it doesn't help you either.

And seriously, do not try to detox programs. They are rarely beneficial and can be extremely harmful.
