I dunno... just something i've been thinking about, since right now i'm sort of freaking out about a love interest pulling away. why is it that everyone loves music... can relate to certain songs and the passionate lyrics in them about love and yearning and desperately needing to be with a person... lyrics like "i was nothing before i met you..." or "so weak and powerless over you...." or "i'd die without you" or something....
but in real life when you talk like that (or god forbid acted on some of that stuff!) you'd be seen as crazy or desperate or inappropriate, etc.?
Why can we listen to these things as art, but we can't *live* them? Are we in denial?
