There is a simple on off breaker on that unit just go and flip to the on position.. Did you think of calling an electrician?
Tell him you are going to that..that should move his butt. solution
3 Get the make and model of your unit call the manufacturer ask them how to turn it on. or check online Get the make and model then tell your husband you are going to ask someone
on yahoo who lives nearby to come and turn the dam*thing on.. hope this helps..

it's perfect this time of year cause there aren't to many bugs out so leave the windows open at night and let the cool air circulate and keep 'em shut during the day. I know it sounds doubtful but, try it!
wasn't it just last week we were complaining that it was TOO COLD?!

So you ask him how to do it, or tell him to show you, so you know how next year.... Tell him you're really uncomfortable and want it on! or just do what they said and take your shirt off and share the fan

Why do you have to ask your husband to turn it on? You are an adult and you also live there. I would do what I needed to do to be comfortable. Ask him to show you. Or just go figure it out for yourself. Never let anyone have control over you!
