how old do you have to be to be a pharmacy tech.?

In the state of Illinois....how old do you have to be?
I believe it's 18, but i was wondering how some people become one at age 17. Also, what are the requirments/procedure on becoming one?

In Illinois, assuming you are a high school student, then age 16. Just fill out the form and mail it in http://www.idfpr.com/dpr/apply/Phrmtech.asp
Mind you, some pharmacist do not like to hire pharm techs without a high school diploma.
