The other day I left my three kids at my in-laws for a few hours and when I came back, I found my 5 year old 'helping' grandpa push the lawnmower and my 2 year old standing just a few feet behind them. I told the in-laws and my husband that it's dangerous and I don't want my kids around lawn mowers and they said I was overreacting and being silly and that their kids were always around them and never got hurt. I know they'll abide by my wishes but am I being silly? I was under the impression that it's common knowledge not to have children around a lawn mower.

I think my home is infected with termites. They suddenly appeared a couple of hours ago. Most of them have wings, and there are alot of them. Not many of them are flying at the moment. They are mostly gathered in three places. Two places by lights, and a hole which they are coming from.

I know I will need to notify an exterminator, but it's the weekend and my parents are out of town. So it will be a couple of days before any serious action will happen. I'm wondering if there is anything temporary I can do to stop them. There are loads of them out at the moment, and I'm afraid they will soon be in my room and I don't want them on me when I'm sleeping.

My sister and I are currently covered because for awhile many of them were flying by us, and getting on us. It was pretty bad. At first we thought something was dead or rotten in the house, but there isn't.

Currently they seem to have settled down. Most aren't flying anymore, and some have disappeared somewhere.

okay...i'm a little odd and i don't want to be a part of the new "name your baby a weird 'unique' name" fad, but i named by dolls these names when i was a kid and wondered how they'd work for a baby girl.... if someone wants to roll overtheir 401k into a roth ira?
if someone wants to rollover their 401k into a roth ira their pretaxed 401k money will have to be turned into after taxed money durring the rollover to the roth ira. Is this money going to be taxed at the normal income tax rate for the individual so if you are in a 15% tax bracket would it be taxed at 15%. Or is it going to be claimed as ordinary income at the end of the year and taxed accordingly, in which case would be 50,000 salary plus 120,000 rollover would equal a taxable income of 170,000 which would equal a 35% tax bracket.

The money needs to be put in a roth ira because the preffered tax deffered retirement vehicle is a matching 401k so a traditional ira is not a option as the 401k will be kept to receive the employer contribution

This is no joke. There will be some demonstrations in Washington D.C. in front of the White House on Monday to encourage President Bush to declare war on South Korea because of what Seung-Hui Cho did to the innocent students at Virginia Tech.

President Bush has not yet spoken, but (surprisingly) some members of Congress are backing it. I couldn't find the link, but CNN reported it earlier this afternoon.

Plus, if we take care of SOUTH Korea, our mission against NORTH Korea will be far easier. I totally support the war and our troops!

Why does the government try to help doggy psych companies? The latest doggy recall is just a shot from the gov and doggie comps to get people to get their dogs on ritalin.I really believe this is true. I think people allowed animals to die just so they can reap the benefits of the aftermath of people caring for their animals. I guess I should buy stock in doggie psychologist.
