Say you don't know, because you don't. Anything else will just be a guess/lie.

This is an age old question. Some believe that only a soul is required for heaven. If that is true ...the Bible says that the soul is in the blood, so anything with "blood" would be allowed. Others claim that what sets humans apart from animals is spirit and the ability to receive "the Holy Spirit" therefore animals don't qualify. There is only one way to find out I guess...so I'll wait on that one...not in any hurry to go check it out.

I've heard the phrase said that when a human dies they pick up their pets from limbo and then they go together to heaven. So I'm assuming that because animals (who have some sort of thought process and decision making) aren't able to make the huge decisions and determine their destiny that the humans can, therefore the humans can scoop up the animals on their way to their chosen destiny. It would be a sad thing if Jesus/God couldn't enjoy the sweet cudly pets that we enjoy (that HE made) (wow..I need more coffee.)

Yes. As a matter of fact I do have a reply as to my Catholic religon supposes. Simply humans are the only ones who go to heaven because we are the only ones who can live by God's laws and wot not. Animals can not thing and they kill all the time. This means that they would probably not go to heaven even if they could talk.

Also heaven is like a special reservation for people only. God created us to look like him. As well we will live with him and only us. Also humans are the only ones with souls and as it is declared in the Bible. The only part of the humans that go to heaven(or hell) are their souls. Animals dont have souls. This means they cant go to heaven.Wot are they going to do...go to heaven in physical form? Lol. I dont think so.

Good Night

Once I heard a preacher talking about how our pets will be there with us. Where does he get his info? From his own anthropomorphic sense of wish fulfillment?

Sure it's comfortable to think Prince with be there, tail wagging and happy to see us but will he be? Will he still have mud on his paws and pee?

Will our favorite house plants or best avocado tree be there? Smiley the Goldfish? And is the criteria for non humans different than humans? And what's the criteria for humans, anyway. Or is it just the Baptists vision of heaven and hell and no Buddhist nirvana?

Hey, Brother, thanks a lot for opening this can of worms! lol

Great Q!

Everything that has a soul will go to Heaven. That is true expect as long as the human lives right and that goes for animals to. I believe animals have a soul. Some people don't but I do. It's not just humans that go to heaven. Anyone and everything that has a soul has the chance as long as they live right.

Aren't all living things creations of God? But in Heaven, mosquitoes would always have full tummies and wouldn't be after us all the time. Plants I'm not so sure of, do they have souls? No, Heaven is supposed to be paradise so I think it would be a clean, safe version of what we know, complete with critters.

That's a good one.

If I say yes, then what about all the cockroaches and mosquitoes?

If I say no, then who's to say heaven exists at all?

So this is what I'll say.

Any living creature that was loved here on earth, will have a soul that continues for eternity.

At least, I certainly hope so!

If every living thing went to heaven (and don't forget that religion has been around for a while) then it has to be pretty full by now. I heard there opening 'Heaven2 - The improved.' But they had to bulldoze a bit of hell to build it. Hell got a bad deal too. Not how much they were expecting.

I believe that all God's creations go to heaven but who knows for real? I can tell you that I believe in heaven and that it's got to be spectacular.
I do not believe God would create all this life - humans, animals, plants, etc - unless they would all be in heaven.
Who knows? We might even finally see Martians! :)
