something like that to hear what they want to offer you or just give a figure on the "low" or "high" end of what you have researched?

Eg, Graduate Engineer : 45k-50k by research, what do you say if you are not sure what the company is willing to pay you?

(just being prepared in case it happens. thanks!)

your advice would be appreciated!

Just several more HRs and sadly the record will be broken.I will hate to see it over and over again on ESPN (actually I'll turn it) when the record is broken. Yes records are meant to be broken but not in a tainted way. This is one athlete that I absolutely have a great deal of disgust for.

November, 2007: The Large Hadron Collider at CERN is turned on. Despite the astronomical odds against it, the LHC begins producing micro black holes at the rate of one per second. Equally unlikely, Hawking radiation turns out to be incorrect, and the micro black holes are stable. They are pulled towards the center of the earth, where they coalesce in to a larger black hole. The technicians at CERN turn the LHC off, but it's too late. The news goes out all over the world: we all have fifteen minutes to live before the black hole reaches critical mass and the earth implodes at the speed of light.

Fifteen minutes pass, and nothing happens. Twenty minutes. An hour. Finally, two hours pass, and our death sentence is revoked. For some reason that physicists don't yet understand, the black hole has evaporated.

For two hours, everyone on earth believed that they were about to die.

What effect do you think this would have on our society? On religion? On you personally?

I'm a female and 14 years old, and i want to lose around 20lbs before summer? I'm about 5'4 and 145lbs, i'm not playing any sports this spring so im not going to be very active. I have a trampoline and a "gazelle", like an exercise machine thing. What else can i do that is healthy? I already have a pretty good variety of a diet and the only thing i really drink is water. but nothing seems to work? im also having some difficulties w/ motivating myself?

With school, it's hard to do anything to get motivated, because right now it seems i wake up around 5:00, go to school, and i get home at like 3:00, and i have so much homework its dark before i'm done and have any time to do anything.

From the answers I've received from previous questions, there seems to be a consensus that the greatest teaching COMMON to all religions it this: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. or Love your neighbor (and enemies) as yourself.

Now if all religions (major and minor, including atheism) agree that this humanistic commandment is the greatest COMMON teaching -- it surpasses differences in religion and sects, differences in opinion, differences in ritual -- and it overrides other teachings such as our ideas about salvation, reincarnation, enlightenment... then it begs the question:

In your opinion, what is the one human trait or instinct that erodes, blurs, disables this primary teaching [a teaching that cannot be reinterpreted in any other way]? And is this instinct just as COMMON to every single individual on the planet as the teaching is?

I'd like to thank any and all answerers in advance.

All dorm rooms should have metal detectors and video cameras. Why would a child need a gun at school. On top of this Cho wasn't even an American citizen. Why on Earth would we allow visitors from other countries buy guns? It would be like giving nuclear bombs to Bin Laden. The person that said that non-Americans can come to American and buy weapons of destruction (no matter how small they are) made a big mistake. These terrorists say that they hate us because we're free and because we're wealthy but they must be more dissatisfied with their own countries otherwise they wouldn't come to America. They are truly hypocrites. They ought to improve their own countries rather than terrorize better off countries. Jealousy and frustration is not a justification for murder. If a person is producing less than their share in society instead of being embarrassed and killing people they wish they were like they ought to work on trying to be like the people they envy.

If you know how to play the violin, then I have a few questions.
was it hard for you to learn?
did you had previous experience playing oder instrument?
did you had a basic knowledge about playing music?
Now much time did it took you?
did you take private lessons or group lessons, or did you do it by yourself?
how long has it been since you learned?
how much time passed before you started feeling comfortable using the violin?
what was your age when you started learning?
do you consider yourself good?
in a scale of 1-10 rate yourself in playing violin.
any advice?

To those who were eager to find out if the shooter was a muslim, and that was many of you chomping at the bit, how did it feel when you found out he was one of your own? Did you say "he isn't representing true Christianity?" Now, when the cowards who are muslim in NAME ONLY harm innocent people, why do you have a double standard and say that every single muslim is like this? We could do the same exact thing, but most of us choose to try to show you by actions that it's not true. Why do you have such double standards?
