I'm thinking it could help my case if the police officer is intimidating or unprofessional. Any advice?

Of course it isn't, but I wouldn't make it obvious. Of course, there is no real use for the tape unless you are unjustly abused. Remember, he likely has his own tape running in the police vehicle to protect himself against false accusations as well.
