I'd slow down, enjoy the journey and the passing parade, no matter how often I did the same trip, or what or who might be waiting for me - though I'd generally leave early enough to allow for dawdling and diversions. But a lot of people seem to be convinced they're running late for their next accident and race for it, whether they think they know where they're going (which is a good question I've often heard other people ask them), or not. Nasr ed Din the Hodja saw an angry man beating his fallen overloaded donkey, to make it get up and work. A small crowd looked on, offering no help as you'd guess. So Nasr ed Din went away and came back with an axe, and he raised it high to hit the donkey on the head. The man swore, protested, and grabbed the wise man's arm crying out "What do you think you're doing?" Nasr ed Din replied innocently "Well if a clever man like you has decided beating it to death would make it work better, I thought I might help by doing the job more quickly". Then he walked quietly away, ignoring the audience applause. The donkey's owner suddenly found he should be somewhere else, and walked away as quickly as he could, swearing as he went. You might thank my long-late Grandpa for the tale. Travel wisely and lightly. As death's the ultimate destination, there's no need for haste.

If I knew where I am going I would hit my head , as many time as I need , to forget where Im going to , simply because it will be a bit boring to know where are you going too , especially if I cannot change it .
Anyway , if I can't forget or change it I'll hasten up , Dont live the future , nor the past , Live the present and smile .

the obvious question would be where i am going. the choice to hasten or slow down would depend on that.

In part, it would depend on the scenery and attractions along the way. If I'm able to stop and enjoy some nice views and some intriguing places, then I'll want to take my time; if the place is as appealing as Nevada, then I'll want to get thru it fast (and preferably asleep with someone else driving!).

Funny you should ask that :)

My calculations indicate that to get where I am going my first course of action is to slow the gathered momentum propelling me in the other direction.

So how to slow the momentum of time is next.

Slow down no matter what. Life is too short and I need to learn to enjoy NOW.

Some people believe that life is about the journey -- not about the speed at which you get there.

Personally, I dont care where I'm going as long as I can be happy here, enroute and on my arrival.

It depends on where you're going. If you won a million dollars and you had to claim it, you'd probably go fast. if you were going to be executed, you'd probably be slow. it all depends on the situation.

that will depend on your age and health.

If you are going to better things, you would probably hurry. But if 'downhill' is coming, slow down.
